'This story is going to kill Obama at the polls'

Clarice Feldman lays out the reasons why the William Ayers/Annenberg Challenge story will seriously damage the candidacy of The One. A sample:

...the story was that Ayers was an old professor in Mr. Obama’s neighborhood who just happened to host a fundraiser for him in 1995 which launched his political career.

Some mush was thrown in along the way about having served with him on a charity board, but Obama did not correctly describe the charity or the dates or the extent of their association on it.

The truth is that the two men worked closely together for years, beginning several months before that 1995 fundraiser. The fund Obama chaired and which was supposed to improve public education in Chicago never met its stated purpose of improving public school pupils’ performance and, in fact, probably hindered it, despite having blown through $110 million in the process. And as chairman of this group Obama funneled this money to politically useful types including Fidelistas and Maoists who like Ayers (now vice-president elect of the American Education Research Association) are working to make our public schools indoctrination centers for the left .

Once the public learns more of the CAC, will the voters decide that the manner in which Obama exercised his sole opportunity at executive authority was so good that he deserves the keys to the Oval Office?

Well, we better get it all over the internet, because the drive-bys will never mention it. It is critical to remember that they will ALWAYS do whatever it takes to protect Obama the way a mother protects a slow child. They are on a mission to try to reestablish their relevance.

Thanks for a post about polling. This way I don't have to start a vanity for this question: this morning on ABC News, George Stephanopolis said McCain was leading Obama by 12 POINTS
Have you seen this anywhere else? I can't find anything online about McCain leading by 12. Would be great to find an actual article to post about it.

Sounds like the perfect Democrat -- they'll vote for him in droves.

It explains how Barack rose so fast in Chicago politics...handing out money to his supporters on the far far left

What is the status in the swing states, though?

That’s the place where Biden is going to hurt McCain, I think...with the blue-collar vote that doesn’t look into Biden deeply enough.

"Punished with a baby"

This phrase is exceptionally disgusting because, judging by how forcefully Obama said it, he meant it.

Once the public learns more of the CAC...

"If" would be the way I'd put it.

The Clinton money schemes were too complicated for the average DUH voter. Unless you have a picture of a smoking gun in BO's hand and a body at his feet, it's questionable to me if the average voter will exercise his limited powers of reasoning to the degree required to understand the implications.

Yeah, I'm a cynic. But betting on the average voter's inability to draw a line from A to B usually pays off.

Interesting. I presume Stephanopolis is still pimping for the clintons. Whether or not it's true, that might explain why he would pushthat story now, right before the Convention opens.

The MSM continues to do their absolute BEST to 'spike' this story!!!

The American people deserve to know if their President has no problem maintaining a friendship with a proud, boastful, anti-American terrorist,,,

whose only regret is THAT HE DID NOT DO MORE!!!!

This outrage needs to be explained to the American people.

The truth is that the two men worked closely together for years, beginning several months before that 1995 fundraiser.

Steve Diamond, a professor at the Santa Clara University School of Law, believes that Barack Hussein Obama may have been in intimate contact with the Ayers family since the mid-1980s, and that Michelle Obama [then Michelle LaVaughn Robinson] may have been in contact with Bernardine Dohrn, at Sidley & Austin, even earlier than that:

Who "sent" Obama?
http://globallabor.blogspot.com/2008/04/who-sent-obama.html
One obvious possibility is that Dohrn & Ayers were responsible for introducing BHO & MLVR to one another [and engineering their marriage].

At any rate, Diamond is fairly certain that Barack has known the Ayerses and Michelle has known Dohrn for WELL OVER 20 YEARS NOW.

PS: As Diamond points out, another name to keep an eye on [as regards this Chicago/Harvard den of Luddite Bolsheviks] is MINOW.

Democrats will for the most part vote Democrat, it doesn’t mater to most of them who is on the ticket. I’m originally from NYC, NY Democrats treat the Party like they would the NY Yankees and the NFL Giants. Its not a Party, its a team with a strong fan base. When they say they’re voting Democrat, they’re saying they’re rooting for the home team. They’re not too concerned about their candidate’s(aka star players) background, all they want is the home run or the touchdown that wins the game.

...the story was that Ayers was an old professor in Mr. Obama’s neighborhood who...

If you reacall, Obama tossed off that "Ayers was some professor of English..." when everyone in politics in Chicago including Obama knew full well that Ayers was a professor of Education. Then it became a BHO campaign talking point that "Obama couldn't have known Ayers well because he didn't even know the proper field that Ayers was in."

This is a prime example of Obama and Axelrod displaying their slimy dishonesty and over-rating their own trivial intelligences.

Has anyone seen any post-Saddle Sore polls? The poll that had McCain up 5 points was released post – Saddle Sore, but the actual poll took place the week before. I’m looking for a poll that has been taken post Rick Warren’s venue. Are there any yet?
