No sooner had Barack Obama publicly announced his new running mate had John McCains campaign produced an attack ad asking: Why not Hillary?
Passed Over will hit the airwaves at (you guessed it) 3 a.m. Sunday. The timing is a reference to Hillary Clintons national security ad during the Democratic primary and the same time the Obama campaign sent out its text message announcing Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden as the vice-presidential nominee.
She won millions of votes. But isnt on his ticket. Why? an announcer says in the 30-second spot.
The answer? For speaking the truth.
The ad, which has not yet been released, then ticks off a litany of criticism Clinton used against Obama in the prolonged primary, according to a transcript sent to reporters.
You never hear the specifics, Clinton says.
On the Rezko scandal, the voice says.
We still dont have a lot of answers about Senator Obama, Clinton says in footage from the primaries.
Senator Obamas campaign has become increasingly negative, Clinton says in another scene.
The announcer closes by saying The truth hurt. And Obama didnt like it.

She might even accept, in return for a one-term pledge. Can you imagine Vice President (or maybe President anything can happen!) Clinton as the presumptive Republican nominee in 2012?

I’m sure if this situation were to happen - and I do think it’s at least .5% possible McCain might ask her to wrap up a Unity vote - that she would keep her democrat affiliation. Though, I’m sure, the Obamists would do their best to excommunicate her.
Your statement is the only thing silly. You obviously are not very savvy about politics. The ad is an attempt to get Hilary voters via emotional appeal. It is not supposed to be a "scientific analysis". It is well done.

He hasn't run a single ad over 30 sec yet. However I was wrong, "Passed Over" is 30 seconds not 1 min.
Totally agree with all you say—including the part where you say McCain is smart to take advantage of the rift. But I don’t think this ad is smart. Outsiders trying to fan the flames of a family squabble usually succeed only in getting the feuders to set aside their differences and turn on the interlopers. If there’s one thing that will unite liberals, it’s hatred of anything republican or conservative. Why interrupt the Democrats while they’re eating their own to remind them of their “real” enemy?
Yeah, but wouldn’t it be amusing if a Sen. Clinton coup grabedd the nomination and she picked John McCain as her VP candidate? ;-)
My first thought was, "does this mean Gov. Romney is his VP pick?"
But of course, he's likely to go for the Huckster and destroy all the great momentum he's built.
Should O'biden win in November, do not be surprised if Biden's son is appointed to his seat by the next Dem Governor of that State.
I don’t think he’ll pick Huckabee but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other ways he could derail his momentum, picking Lieberman being one of the most obvious. Huckabee was his useful idiot. Took votes away from Romney and Fred. That was de plan boss, de plan.
Anybody got the link to the video?
“Word has it that McCain is picking Hillary for his VEEP.”
Dear God no.
“Can you imagine Vice President (or maybe President anything can happen!) Clinton as the presumptive Republican nominee in 2012?”
Thanks for the nightmares. We’d have Clinton-maniacs here then like the McCainiacs now telling us to vote for her, it’s the conservative thing to do.
Exactly what I was thinking...the love is there! :-)
