Springfield, Ill. -- Barack Obama used his first joint appearance with his vice presidential nominee, Sen. Joseph Biden, to push a more populist economic message, emphasizing his running mate's blue-collar roots and painting Republican Sen. John McCain as out of touch. (Text of Speech)"This working class kid from Scranton and Wilmington has always been a friend to the underdog," Sen. Obama said of Sen. Biden, of Delaware, to the 35,000 people gathered outside the Old State Capital, the same site where he declared his candidacy 19 months ago.
The two men plan to take a tour of economically-stressed swing states before arriving together in Denver for their party's nominating convention, which opens in Denver on Monday.
Recently, the presidential debate has shifted to the candidates' personal wealth and who can best relate to voters who are struggling with high gas prices and subprime mortgages. Sen. Obama has over the past week adopted a more specific economic message borrowing some of the populist rhetoric used by his former rival Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Memo to “CINO” Senator Joe Biden: Catholics who support abortion should not receive Holy Communion, says the Vatican’s Archbishop Burke
Rome, Aug 19, 2008 / 10:00 am (CNA).- The prefect of the Apostolic Signatura, Archbishop Raymond Burke, said this week that Catholics, especially politicians, who publically defend abortion should not receive Communion, and that ministers of Communion should be responsibly charitable in denying it to them if they ask for it, “until they have reformed their lives.”
In an interview with the magazine, Radici Christiane, Archbishop Burke pointed out that there is often a lack of reverence at Mass when receiving Communion. “Receiving the Body and Blood of Christ unworthily is a sacrilege,” he warned. “If it is done deliberately in mortal sin it is a sacrilege.”
To illustrate his point, he referred to “public officials who, with knowledge and consent, uphold actions that are against the Divine and Eternal moral law.” He then gave the example of politicians who “support abortion, which entails the taking of innocent and defenseless human lives. A person who commits sin in this way should be publicly admonished in such a way as to not receive Communion until he or she has reformed his life,” the archbishop said.
“If a person who has been admonished persists in public mortal sin and attempts to receive Communion, the minister of the Eucharist has the obligation to deny it to him. Why? Above all, for the salvation of that person, preventing him from committing a sacrilege,” he added.
“We must avoid giving people the impression that one can be in a state of mortal sin and receive the Eucharist.”
He explained that when the person is allowed to receive Communion, a second form of scandal consists: “leading people to think that the public act that this person is doing,” a sin, “which until now everyone believed was a serious sin, is really not that serious.”
“If we have a public figure who is openly and deliberately upholding abortion rights and receiving the Eucharist, what will the average person think? He or she could come to believe that up to a certain point it is okay to do away with an innocent life in the mother’s womb,” he warned.
Archbishop Burke also noted that when a bishop or a Church leader prevents an abortion supporter from receiving Communion, “it is not with the intention of interfering in public life but rather with the concern of the spiritual state of the politician or public official who, if Catholic, should follow the divine law in the public sphere as well.”
“Therefore, it is simply ridiculous and wrong to try to silence a pastor, accusing him of interfering in politics so that he cannot do good to the soul of a member of his flock,” he stated.
It is “simply wrong” to think that the faith must be reduced to the private sphere and eliminated from public life, Archbishop Burke said, encouraging Catholics “to bear witness to our faith not only in private in our homes but also in our public lives with others in order to bear strong witness to Christ.”

Can you believe that the New York Times among others is actually saying that Biden is bipartisan? Actually, I shouldn’t ask if you believe it, but I thought they would at least attempt a more neutral suggestion.
Joe Biden is about as bipartisan as Tom Daschle.
Obama said that with Joe Biden on his ticket (I’m paraphrasing), he is confident that they can undo the damage done by the last eight years.
But wait. Biden was part of the Democrat majority in at least the last four years. And Obama was in the party that held the majority in the Senate also.
So if the last four years were so God awful bad, why didn’t either one of these Washington insiders, or both of them, do something about what was wrong with Washington, as they claim? They had the Senate majority.
What, besides grandstanding, have they done to make any changes whatsoever?

September 11, 2008 has been set as the date in which the Obama/Biden railroad plans on shooting to shut me and my claims against Barack Obama and the Bidens up once and for all. That’s right right, the scheduling order by the New Castle County Delaware Superior Court (Biden Country), and Joseph R. Biden III Delawares Attorney General has set 9/11/08 as the trial date for me and the charge of “Theft” which the office of Joseph R. Biden III knows full well to be an abuse of his office.
So now the presumptuous Democratic Presidential and Vice Presidential nominee’s intend to use September 11, 2008 to try and silence the truthful charges made against Barack Obama. It isn’t enough that these guys had an arrest made in DC without ever producing a warrant, or a US District Judge held me without ever showing warrant in court. It is not enough that Delaware knows the charges they filed against me i a sealed Grand Jury are bogus, or that they assisted the Delaware News-Journal and web bloggers in publishing false charges about the matter, it is not enough that Delaware has cost me an my supporters more than $8000.00 to date on this fabricated charge and attempted to help Daddy’s new boss! These are crimes in and of themselves people.
Do I have faith in the American Justice system? YES.

Joseph R.Biden II, Senator from Delaware did in June 2008 use his power in the US Senate to have the Social Security Administration stop my disability benefits two days before I was arrested in Washington, DC on a totally baseless warrant. Biden and his son provided false claims to the Social Security Administration as noted on the SSA Notice, claiming that I was wanted in New Castle County Delaware on a fugitive from justice for probation and/or parole violation, which I have never been on in the State of Delaware. Per Social Security, the information stated on the Notice to terminate benefits is the exact information provided to the SSA. However, New Castle County Delaware Superior Court Clerk claims no such information was ever provided by their office. In addition it turns out that Senator Biden not only abused his office and the office of his son, Joseph R Biden III, the Attorney General of Delaware, he had the SSA violate their own regulations which states benefits cannot be terminated if the charging State refuses to Extradite. Delaware by way of a sealed Grand Jury Rule 9 Warrant, (for which the Delaware Attorney Generals Office has still failed to provide any copy of any returned money order) had an extradition range of 250 miles listed according to court documents. Senator and AG Biden’s puppet News-Paper the Delaware News-Journal of Wilmington, DE even went so far as to publish two completely false reports of the charge and case against me. Senator Joseph Biden and Delaware AG Biden’s personal friend and contributor’s, former Delaware Attorney General Richard Weir, even tried to create problems for me with the court by walking away from a sign retainer agreement and stated after entering said agreement he would “not represent” me “when you are saying all those things about Obama and the Bidens.”
Both Biden’s have abused their office’s for political favors from Barack Obama. In addition Barack Obama has used the Biden’s to try and shut me up, it will not happen.
