They're a little slow over there in Obama land.
It's been one fiasco, after the other with this campaign, since Her Heinous "suspended" her campaign. He hasn't done anything right since, starting with that ill-advised trip overseas, which is where his troubles truly started to begin. It's been non-stop since then. He will be lucky to survive his own nominating convention, and even if he does, he'll be toast by Labor Day...

I think that is the Obama strategy at this point.
I'm sure you're aware that there is a specific choreography to this dance.
Initially, conversations are done via both of the staffs of the parties involved. Questions are hypothetical, such as.........
If our candidate were to ask your candidate to be his/her running mate, would your candidate accept?
If the answer is no, then everyone can say with some degree of honesty that so-and-so never asked so-and-so and so-and-so was never asked by so-and-so.
That way, no one will be embarrassed..........
unless of course you end up with Joe Biden as your running mate.
If that's the case .... I think I can live with the luckiest SOB in the world running the country. You know why? That luck (kinda like poo) will roll downhill.

The number one advantage Obama had was his supposed intelligence. Everyone was waiting to see this demonstrated in his VP pick and he blew it. Now it becomes clearer how he managed to select and hang on to some of his other associates. The hard thing to understand is how all of Obama's advisers could also be so dumb.

Nothing about this perpetually-postponed announcement sounds kosher. It hasn't made Obama look Presidential, only indecisive and scattered. Why waste the Thursday/Friday news cycles and bury it early Saturday morning?

The skeletons in Biden’s closet (as you put it) and those out of the closet. Rush (I think) played Biden’s 1988 ad criticizing I think Dukakis. The basi message was the White House is no place for the inexperienced or for learning on the job.
