WASHINGTON Republican prospects in U.S. Senate races this November grew grimmer Friday, as the head of the party's campaign arm announced he must reduce its budget because GOP senators are raising too little money.

I continue to donate to Duncan Hunter!
They should have listened to their constituents instead of taking care of their personal interests and back room deals. They will reap what they sowed
Gee,I cant imagine why.
yep! Well said :)
“I continue to donate to Duncan Hunter!”
Sorry, but that’s kind of dumb (unless you mean his son), since he is not on the ballot in November.
There are critical seats out there and A LOT OF GOOD CONSERVATIVES WHO NEED HELP.
At the Senate level, Shaffer (CO), Pearce (NM), Sununu (NH), are the top 3 I’d pick.
At the Congress level, there are many key races in NY, PA, CA, and across the midwest and south. In Texas, we have a takeover shot in CD-22 with Pete Olson.
Most of the GOP candidates are sitting on millions so I am not sure what this is about except that NRSC is running out of money to pay its staff and wants to be the primary place to distribute money. My advice to donors is to give direct to the candidates.
It’s not that the democrats are being rewarded for gross incompetence, it’s that the republicans in the Senate are not holding the democrats responsible for their incompetence. When the republicans lose big in November, they need only thank Senators Graham, Chambless, Isakson, Thune and Corker. Their little Gang of 10 compromise has given the democrats cover on energy.
I haven’t looked at the Louisiana polls lately, but John Kennedy was gaining on Mary Landrieu by holding her feet to the fire over her vote against oil shale extraction. Mary is part of the Gang of 10 - I wonder if John Kennedy feels like he has been stabbed in the back by his 5 republican colleagues?
“The NRSCs support of Chafee and Specter has a lot to do with this.”
That did it for me.
But there are conservative alernatives.
Slatecard is a website that allows conservatives to pick and choose who they want. You dont have to give the power to the NRSC to support candidates, you can make your own slate. Find an amount you can support (eg $200, 500 etc) and divide among your favorite needy candidates.

Here’s a RedState slate:

Maybe we should create an FR slate.
“Most of the GOP candidates are sitting on millions “
Any GOP senators sitting on millions need to be Challenged to support their needy kin in this election cycle.
Can you say, “Gang of Ten?”
You got that right. The day they start to grow them back, I’ll start to give money again.
They could save some money by not calling me anymore. Or writing. They have most recently the Gang of 5 to thank for that, and support of idiots like Specter before. No way will I give any more money to a national committee. I’ll gladly donate out-of-district for a conservative candidate in an important race. But no more money flowing to RINOs.
So the Democrats, moderates, independents and illegals aren't big money contributors for the GOP... Who knew?
"Surprised, I am not."
Yes, and for us it is Dole wanting money from our county GOP but refusing to come here to help us raise any.
She needs to be seena dn hear our concerns, instead she just wants our money. She’s in trouble and she has only herself to blame.
Sure wish we could dump Lindsey Graham.
Lib old girl, you are on your own.......you live like a rino; you die as a rhino.
“a return to conservatism and growing some balls would solve this problem, instantly.”
Sappy, that’s not popular. How are we ever going to get to hobnob with cool people like Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer and Shephard Smith if we actually articulate a conservative message? I forgot to mention Richard Gere and George Clooney. Can you handle not being invited to their Malibu parties? Well, can you? I don’t know if I can, so we’d better not shift away from the moderate message. Because that would just be SO unhip.
Regards
I live in NY-25. The Republican candidate is a huge RINO. So is the incumbent Republican retiring who has seen fit to oppose the majority of Republicans on almost every major issue this year from timetables to SCHIP. They won’t get a penny from me.
I suggest a few phone calls to this guy Monday morn.
Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev
