Yeah, if he wants to surprise us, go with Gen. Petraeus. If he wants to shank us, well, y’know who he can pick...

No matter what I think about Romney, and I think he could bring a lot to an administration,

Like what? He can teach McCain how to lie better if he wants to flip-flop on an issue? Or do you want McCain to use him the same way Bill Clinton used Hillary -- to devise a universal health care plan like the one he signed into law in Massachusetts?

The obsessed anti-Romney people are a small small percentage of conservative voters.

I'm not sure if it is class envy, Mormon hatred, or because Romney is smooth and handsome -- but there is a deep seated psychological sickness inherent in these anti-Romney people that is not needed, nor should it be wanted in the GOP.

------------------------------------------------------

Wow. You just don't get it, so I'll try again.

Romney was pro-abortion until very recently. Now he says he is not. Such a 180 degree shift in such a short time is not credible, not trustworthy. Some of us have principles that we will not compromise. My pro-life views are not negotiable.

If McCain is to nominate a liberal RINO for VP, he might as well go all out and pick Guiliani or Bloomberg; at least those guys are honest about their pro-abortion views.

"And/but: NY Times: “People close to the campaign also floated a wild-card choice, Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top American commander in Iraq.”

Hmmm....my Army kid had alot of contact with Petraus and while the Surge has been great, he said one thing intended as somewhat negative, and that was that Petraeus is very ambitious and is headed for bigger things, by which he meant big politics.

Well it is an easy mistake, many Conservatives share the same opinion, some just express it more directly than others. Indeed I have seen JR pretty much say exactly what you said...

Intrade. Isn’t that the one that predicted Duncan Hunter as the nominee?

I think he said “unholy.” I’ll go with that. He was an unholy terror as Goobernor.

The concern I have for Gen. Petraeus is that we don’t know much about him from a personal or political standpoint. Ambition isn’t necessarily a bad thing, unless you’re throwing everything and everyone else under a bus to get what you want (like Slick Willard).

_______________________________________________

Class envy ????

Illusions of grandeur by low class Romney ???

mormon hatred ????

mormon do hate Christians ..that’s well documented...

Romney is ???? ROFLMBO

Romney is old and wrinkled and this is not a beauty contest...

McCain came by his grey hair honestly and honorably...

Romney was a Bill Clinton-type draft dodger...

If it came down to looks, Mccain would win hands down..

There’s honor and service in McCain’s hair and body...

The thing about Slick Willard is that he answers the question, “Who would Bubba Clinton have been if he had born into wealth ?” You can’t buy class.

If McCain is retarded enough to pick King of the RINO's MYTH ROMNEY, the FRAUD, the guy who changed his position on abortion at age 58, the guy who enforced the communist MASS Supreme Court decision of homosexual marriage, the guy who nominated more democrats and independents to judgeships than Republicans , the guy who supported the assault weapons ban and finally joined the NRA 2 years ago, the guy who's sons and immediate family have managed to miss every war for the last 150 years, and for good measure, the guy who believes that Joseph Smith was a prophet, I WILL STAY HOME ON ELECTION DAY.

CANTOR FOR VP

Yup, or they may just go ahead and vote for the real deal in liberalism and cut out the middleman.
