This has the potential to be as devastating as Fritz Mondale's 1984 pledge, "I'll raise your taxes..." Wasn't Mondale also picked up on a mic during Kerry's 2004 campaign saying something like, "We're gonna tax their @sses off!"
At the time, Mondale seemed to think the dems were going to win big (but then, the dems always seem to think that, no matter what's going on (part of their overall denial of reality).
