Here is a link to the Free Republic exclusive article that was ultimately a big factor in his resignation, thanks to the embarrassing photos -FR EXCLUSIVE - CNN hires Clinton-controlled Opinion Research Corp. for 2008 Presidential Polling
After the photos were published here, they were picked up in MSM publications like the New York Times and many blogs.
Between the lawsuits and the photos, it was just a matter of time.
Ultimately, you lost control of the company you founded due to your foolish association with the Clintons.
You got what you deserved.
O wow! what happen to Bubba? Looks like all the blood was drained from him. He looks so pale.
Anyway..are we supposed to be surprised by this of the Clintons getting a help from their friends. This is a very interesting election year folks because it looks like all the cockroaches are coming out of their crevices.
Just once I'd like to see an orphan rise to prominence.
No, they are not related.
Willie has a bad ticker, and other health problems, some he still keeps secret.
The name Gupta is pretty common among Indians.
I always figured Hillery for a vampire.
Gupta is a very common Indian name. 16 million hits on Google, compared to 78 million for McCain.
I think we can safely assume that Bill Clinton was FIRED from the company yesterday too. No more millions for doing nothing. No more rides on the megayacht with the all-female crew.
No more scamming senior citizens with your "sucker lists".
This is good news, of course, but he’s stil on the Board?!
No more Lincoln Bedroom stayovers. No more flying Hillary to Switzerland and Hawaii on the company jet.
Well, he’s their largest shareholder, controlling nearly half of the shares. And instead of repaying all of the money he misappropriated, they’ll give him $10 million - before taxes - to go away.
But still, this is bad news for Gupta and the Clintons. $10 million ain’t what it used to be.
The risk to the company is that the new Chairman and CEO may be Gupta’s puppets. But maybe they’ll be able to act independently now. Another risk is that he may control some of the offshore outsourcing firms that the company depends on.
Oh uh.
That’s how I see it, Gupta will lay low until after inauguration, marshal his forces, consolidate his levers over InfoGroup, and well before the primaries for the midterms he’ll be back in control of InfoGroup.
No, he’s radioactive now.
One other thought - the reason that Gupta fell on his sword was to save his friends, the Clintons, from having to give sworn testimony in the shareholder lawsuits. That would have opened a big can of worms.
My mother worked for this guy. ( A company he bought up that was big) He personally would show up for “inspection” 1-2 times a year. She thought he was a nice but real strict guy. I ‘m trying to remember what they called him. I think it was Uncle Vin. My impression from her retelling of his visits were that they were more like white glove tests.
Plus, if the speculation about Obama choosing Her Heinous is correct, they can use their favorite "old news" dismissal when Gupta's name comes up: "That's old news. He's no longer running that company. How many other former CEOs did you want to discuss today while people are starving and kids are going without healthcare?"
About time. I worked for this company for a short time until they dissolved my department-something this company was notorious for doing. Terrible benefits and a slave driver mentality. Maybe under some new leadership, the company will be much better off and its employees will actually be treated like human beings.
