Barack Obama savaged his Republican rival John McCain Wednesday for running a dishonorable campaign that aides to the Democrat said smacked of "reckless" desperation. In some of the most vehement attacks yet heaped on the Arizona senator by the Obama camp during this White House campaign, the Illinois senator said he honored McCain's public service but not the manner of his electioneering.
Coinciding with a new poll suggesting McCain has overhauled Obama among voters nationally, Obama's senior foreign policy adviser Susan Rice portrayed the Republican as a hot-head who could not be trusted to stay cool under fire.
McCain's "tendency is to shoot first and to ask questions later," she said on a conference call alongside former White House anti-terrorism adviser Richard Clarke, who called the Republican "trigger-happy" and "reckless."

Dithering was the word I was looking for in my commentary, and that's exactly correct - thanks. Dithering in a Leader is a morale crusher to his subordinates.
Spot on also that this Dithering will become “policy” ((((((((((((shudder)))))))))))) should this a$$-clown get elected.
1) The NRLC "lied" when it said he voted down a Born Alive bill in Illinois that was identical to the one passed by Congress. (Unfortunately, the NRLC has the actual documents proving they are telling the truth, prompting Obama to issue yet another evasive statement, but no apology.)
2) McCain cheated because he wasn't in "the cone of silence" at Saddleback. (Does the Obama campaign believe there was an actual "cone?")
3) McCain is running a "dishonorable campaign." (This, 48 hours after it became known that the UIC is intentionally, and probably unethically, blocking access to the records of a $100 million educational fund overseen by both Obama and the "guy in his neighborhood" that he "doesn't discuss policy with" -- unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers.)
Not a good week at all for the Democratic contender. No wonder he's having a tantrum.
And don’t forget.

I thought that somewhere in the past Clarke and McCain were “hands-across-the-aisle” buds.........and here’s Clarke bad-mouthing his bud!
You mean this hands-across-the-aisle stuff only works one way?!
Zounds!
I don’t think that’s a particularly negative trait. There are times when it’s prudent to shoot first and leave the handholding kumbayah for later.
“Isnt that called projecting?”
..... Standard Saul Alinsky radical left-wing political methodology - When you cannot refute your opponent’s arguments, attack him personally.
But, peering deeper into Obama’s psyche, I think you are indeed correct in the true psychological sense of the term “projecting”. I suspect that it is indeed Obama who suffers from the short fuze and the tendency to over-reaction. Listening to the sound clip of Obama’s recent rant against McCain, I hear a very angry and petulant little boy.

The man said publicly yesterday and broadcast on FoxNews last night, that he will ONLY choose a pro-life VP. What will it take for some to understand this? BTW, while I will vote for him... he is not my “man”.

Brilliantly stated. Absolutely top drawer reply, gridlock.
Kinda like Dem Harry Truman, right?
It could use a little polishing, but I liked it...
Obambi is coming unglued.
“Obambi is coming unglued.”
Yep-er-oo!
The shriller the outbursts, the better!
Definitely NOT ready for prime-time and WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY over his pay grade. I think a pay-grade of “Kindergartener” is the appropriate on for O-Bama-Rama
