Toby Keith has always been a Democrat.

I never checked it out. His patriotic songs led me to believe otherwise. If he’s pro-military and supports Obama he’s a gifted idiot. That’s all I can conclude. I guess he can get in line behind Jackson Browne.

Yeah, there is a larger portion of Country Music that votes Dem than most people think (Tim McGraw, Tracy Lawrence, Merle Haggard). Largely, I think it is due to the fact that most Southern Democrats are D's cuz their daddy was and his daddy was...Thats how it is for Keith, and McGraw said he wanted to be like the old Populists of Country music.

Just because there are more conservative viewpoints in Country, doesn't mean it is not a venue for art. And most artists are liberal.

If you want good, con/libertarian country, listen to Texas Country artists like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Wade Bowen, Stoney LaRue, and Jason Boland. They all love them some Texas.
