“Obama’s troubles with unscripted moments contributed to his campaign’s refusal to participate in town hall format debates or discussions with Sen. John McCain, who feels much more comfortable in the unscripted moments.”

I heard some pollster, his name escapes me, on FOX News this morning. He called Obama a great orator. He’s been reading too many liberal news clippings. Without the prompter, Obama is lost. He’s a great prompter reader but that’s about it. He cannot think on his feet.

Obama is all fluff and no stuff. He has no substance or intellect. He is unable to do more than read from a teleprompter and yet the MSM keep saying how great he is.

"He just locks down and can't get the words out," says one political consultant. Sounds like Obama is blue-screening like an errant PC.

The Ladies that I loved to listen to, as they read to children, weren't classed as Speakers. They were a joy, as “READERS”.
Of Course, they held a Book.
They didn't use a TelePrompter.

I'm still trying to figure out where the 'charismatic speaker' thing came from, teleprompter or not.
I can't stand either Obama or Bill Clinton. But Clinton has a certain charm, even if you do feel the need to bathe after listening to him.
I've heard Obama-lama-ding-dong speak both with and without the Magic Teleprompter, and he comes across like a bag of bricks. What am I missing?
There's no there there. Is everyone just so ecstatic that he doesn't sound like a blood from the 'hood that they overvalue his speaking abilities? Someone enlighten me, please.

The Dims are really crazy. They are afraid the Townhall format, yet they call their convention a “Townhall Meeting”?

Obama has had several embarrassing events where the teleprompter either malfunctioned or the screens were not fully visible. What a bummer during an international crisis.

Reagan could speak long before teleprompters were around. He had a self confidence and directness people found appealing. Obama by contrast, its akward and stutters when he isn't reliant on technology. The Democrats have attributed Reagan's successor to his being a good actor. Well Obama can't even act much less than to tell the public what he really thinks. Reagan was never afraid to say it with conviction!

"For such a fine speaker, it's really quite remarkable that he's had issues." Puleeze, I'm so tired of hearing this crap that he a great speaker. The guy is an empty suit two bit shuckster and when he is free of the puppet strings we see the real Obama. Awkward, inept and totally out of his league.

McCain has had lots of practice speaking in the Senate, and he has honed these skills in countless town hall type meetings...practice makes perfect.
You would think that a trained trial lawyer could speak in public without a script...but somehow Obama can’t...it’s odd.

In all actuality its the story line of his entire life, everything from college to law school to senate being hand fed to him.
Its all he knows.
I guess you could say its not his fault but this sorry country's for doing this to him.
