Two elderly Chinese women who applied to hold a protest during the Olympics were ordered to spend a year in a labor camp, a relative said Wednesday. Police later squelched a pro-Tibet demonstration.

Nana, the really funny thing is that the ChiComs set up these special public areas (to appease the IOC) for potential protestors, with the provision that Chinese citizens had to apply to get access (yeah right!). And then the Chinese and IOC officials complain when no one shows up at either the venues or these public areas, making the whole olympic park look like one big ghost town.

The IOC should be asahmed of itself for giving the games to the ChiComs in the first place.
