Ok, this is AP, but if I understand it correctly, we can do a little snippet.
So is this a complete threat to the US?

I’m thinking that Putin has lost his ever-lovin mind.

I'm going to repeat this question on every thread about this issue:
Barak Hussein Obama has vowed to scrap the unproven missile defense program, in order to use the saved money for social welfare.
If it is so unproven, Mr. Obama, Why has Russia threatened to attack Poland if they install it?

I think that is a good question. Of course I think the answer is that Obama wants us to completely fall as a nation.

We should install anti-missile systems in every loving country ringing Russia that we can woo to do so.
They did this to themselves. If I were Poland, the Ukraine or Georgia, I would be clamoring for Americans to have bases on their soil.
Frikking Russians. And some damned people (including some on FR) keep insisting Russia is not our enemy.

Sounds like they intend to make it awful cold in Poland this winter.
All the more reason for us to rapdily exploit our oil fields so we can, in as little as two years, be in a position to start ending our own dependancy and help other allies like Poland.

"When you threaten Poland, you perhaps forget that it is not 1988," Rice said. "It's 2008 and the United States has a ... firm treaty guarantee to defend Poland's territory as if it was the territory of the United States. So it's probably not wise to throw these threats around."
how do you say, "ruh-roh" in diplomatic-speak?

That’s the one big monkey-wrench in the anti-ABM arguments. If it can’t work, why fear it?

The Russians, much like our current democrats, have always twisted reality to serve their purposes. A “shield” doesn’t threaten anybody but it could give pause to plans for further bullying of former soviet satellite states. That bullying will eventually extend toward western Europe if not checked.
Additionally, throwing fits about missile shields could also be a diversionary tactic for.....even more sinister actions.

Tell Putin to grow up. If he wants to return to cold war days and MAD (mutual assured destruction) let’s get it on. To back down to a thug like Putin is not only a cowards way out but it will assure our destruction.

how does a missle shield threaten russia? they have a right to kill us? Not us, necessarily, but their neighbors. That seems to be their position, yes: hindering their ability to kill their neighbors is a violation of their rights. This, in turn, gives them a right to kill us. It's quite simple really.
To: Dr. Frank fan
yes.
and the euros don’t seem very concerned.
britain just decided for a more conciliatory role with russia.

Yes, I didn’t see an article posted on that either. That they just pulled out of NATO. What does that mean?

Looks like nowadays Russian Government has embarked on quite a mission: threatening to repeat history - but for the first time - not as farce. So far they are doing a lousy job.

Yes, he wants us to fall so that the “one world” government can emerge where we are no longer the super power. He is a pawn of Satan-—maybe he really is the “one”—the wrong “one”, a puppet of the evil one...I am serious. Ok God time for the smackdown.

No. It simply means that Russia will take precautionary measures to target the systems when they are installed. Missiles will be allocated to take the system out in time of conflict.
