I doubt she wants to be Obama’s VP. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think she hopes his numbers cause the convention to go her way. If not, she will sit back, open a box of popcorn, and enjoy the debacle, then bide her time til 2012. She knows McCain is an old man.

Maybe you are

As I've been saying for many years, I'm worried about VICE President Clinton.
Think of it:

• Two years and one day into her term the first slotter gets arkincided
• Under Article XXII, she can still run for two full terms as the incumbent
• The Glorious Hillary!™ Decade begins
• Hillary uses the Patriot Act to it's fullest extent, and beyond
• At the end of the Glorious Hillary!™ Decade there is a National Emergency "temporarily" delaying the elections
• Under the pressure of the National Emergency, the 2nd and 22nd amendments are repealed
• By the time the National Emergency is over all the 'improved' source code for the touch screen electronic balloting will be in place......

Just as an aside, with the Clinton's well known love of 'ethnics', Obama is very expendable, isn't he?

I agree. Whoever wins could find themselves the president of this country during the unfolding of a “great depression” type event complete with activity in Georgia reminiscent of the invasion of Poland in 1939. The incumbant will be severely wounded in 2012 and will probably be McCain.

The democratic nominee will have a great opportunity at that time.

Exactly my thoughts..........why wait for 8 years if Obama is elected to get her shot. He will have screwed the country up so bad if he wins that she would not get elected dog catcher after him. If he is elected and serves only 1 term before being kicked out ,she will be tarnished by her association with him.

I think this is another head fake, besides Michelle O hates Hillary, and we KNOW who wears the pantsuits in the Obama household.

What other options does she have? To sit in the Senate for the next 4 to 8 years? I don't think she wants that either. (I know I wouldn't want to play second-fiddle to Smucky-Chucky!) Besides, Obama may conclude that he has to have Hillary to shore-up his declining poll numbers.

Yeah, i think that’s it. There is no way she is at the top of the ticket. She’s going to watch the party twist in the wind.

Hillary has at least four ways to walk back into the White House:

#1: she can oust Obama with a floor vote in Denver (then name Obama as her VP candidate to keep his supporters on her plantation)

#2: she can be McCain's VP

#3: she can be Obama's VP

#4: she can wait until 2012

“I doubt she wants to be Obama’s VP.”

I think she wants to be POTUS, above all else. If being Obama’s VP for 8 years is the only available path, I think she is willing. She would be 68 or 69 then, younger than McCain today.

To presume McCain would be gone or easily defeated in 2012 is a bigger risk, than signing on for VP now.

The GOP is at a low point, combining Iraq with McCain. She can’t assume it will stay down for 2012.

Take what you can get today, and use it to build a resume for later.

She would be smart to accept VP now. Obama would be smart to offer it, because he is weak alone.

From the GOP standpoint, it would be nice to beat an Obama/Clinton ticket!! But tough. (Nixon came back in 1968, after 1960 defeat—so neither would be counted out forever).
