There is only one thing that will stop this. The WEST, every country in it...

1) Freezing Russian assets
2) Preventing Russian access to Western markets
3) Prohibiting investment in Russia
4) All Western nations stating they will accept US missile defenses if Russia does not withdraw
5) Travel restrictions on Russian oligarchs
6) Immediate entry of Ukraine and Georgia into NATO
7) Immediate end to all space cooperation and purchases by all Western nations
8) End of WTO and G8


There are lots of things that could be done that would send the Russian stock market to zero and its narrow natural resource focused economy collapse. More than this could be done.

The Russian oligarchs would not be happy having to stand in line for toilet paper again.

But Europe will not stand united and the Cold War is back and they will finance their opponent by buying natural gas from them.
