Sorry but I am not willing to wager that a Ronald Wilson Reagan would be on the heals of a 4 year experiment in Obama. Nor am I willing to wager that a great enlightenment of conservatism would swell up in America ringing in a new era of conservative principles. There is too much at stake, the congress, senate right now is so far left and we have so little chance of overtaking it that a McCain Presidency to me is infinitely more palatable than a entirely socialist federocracy.

By standing on a static unbridgeable principle you may as well be standing on the throat of America.

Wait, I thought you said you were against this? But yet support a candidate who's voting record shows, and his statements this year related to business, medical care, free speech, immigration and the environment support his desire for socialism.

Sorry bub, our choices are terrible this year, but to throw in the towel and abandon conservatism and endorse a liberal nutcase like McCain makes a conservative with principles not be able to sleep at night... so...

There are only two rationales a "conservative" can have to support McCain:

1) They have no morals or principles, or

2) They aren't a conservative because they have no idea what that means.

The simple fact is, you can't be a conservative and support an ultra liberal like McCain.

The GOP did not receive the message of its supporters in 2006 and we can only hope they receive the message this year. The fact is, the more they move to the center, the more votes they'll lose.
