John Edwards assured his mistress that they'd be together after his cancer-stricken wife died, according to a new bombshell report.
Just before the former presidential contender confessed his adultery to ABC News on Aug. 8, he secretly flew Rielle Hunter and her 6-month-old child, Frances Quinn, from California to the US Virgin Islands, according to the National Enquirer, which first exposed their affair.
And after the interview, in which he denied loving Hunter or fathering the baby, he called her to say, "We'll be together when Elizabeth is gone," the tabloid reported.

Maybe some upstart lawyer can channel Elizabeth after she has passed on and get $130 million out of Edwards just for the children.

Isn’t that one of the main reason the left loves abortion, to clean up affairs. I am shocked Edwards wanted to keep the baby.

I’m loving this! TRULY ‘The Breck Girl’ is a worthy successor to the Kennedy’s! He fits right in- a real slimebag. Ted Kennedy must envy and applaud him! The amorality, the arrogance, the lack of conscience, using the wife for sympathy!
The only way he doesn’t quite fit the image- he didn’t ‘accidentally’ off his mistress, otherwise, yep, he’s the next ‘Kennedy’ all right!

I remember the left being all over Newt Gingrich when it was reported he had an affair while his wife was dying of cancer. With Edwards, though, hardly a whimper out of them.

I said before that I didn’t have much sympathy for Elizabeth over this since she had to know what a slimeball he is even before this affair, but I would like to amend that now. I do feel sorry for her. This is the cruelest. Edwards is a complete bastard. I haven’t heard lately how her cancer is doing, but I hope she makes it—even more so now.
I think it’s official now. Edwards is lower than whale poop. This guy makes scum look good.
That’s my question as well. Since The Enquirer went out on a limb with this- they have gained a degree of respect, so it seems reasonable they’re not going to put stuff out there without being very careful..but the question remains who is feeding them?
It is too much of a tragic story to derive joy from. Elizabeth and the children did not deserve this and the pain it causes them is unimaginable. This story shows the idea something 'is just about sex', is just wrong. It is about many people's lives.
Somebody needs to pull the poster from their website and photoshop Rielle into it.
