Sen. Obama wants to raise the top marginal income-tax rate to at least 39%, while increasing Social Security taxes on those with higher incomes by completely removing the payroll cap. That means many entrepreneurs would be paying 12.4% (6.2% on employer and 6.2% on employee) on Social Security payroll taxes alone, plus the 2.9% on Medicare taxes, for a total federal tax rate of 54%.
In addition, Obama wants to jack up the capital-gains tax rate and reinstate the death tax.
That his show was cancelled on PMSNBC. Normally, that would be due to low ratings, but that hardly distguishes Abrams from anybody else at PMSNBC.
Santorum burned alot of bridges here in PA when he supported Snarlin Arlen Spector over a true conservative, Pat Toomey in the PA primary. L’il Ricky caved to the national GOP and gave his hearty endorsement to Mr. Magic Bullet. Spector won by the slimmest of margins (in the primary against Toomey) and Rick got trounced (and his own ‘payback’ from Spector) the next time he ran. No...he wouldn’t help much (probably hurt in the ‘T’ of PA)...but might be seen as an asset away (far away) from PA.

The storm hasn’t made it that far north and isn’t likely to go as far as Jax. It is hugging the coast going north from Cape Canaveral and will head back west somewhere north of Daytona Beach and south of St Augustine. Jax will therefore experience some of the NE quadrant storms and will probably have a few tornado warnings before all is said and done.

That's interesting. I didn't know why Santorum had been voted out. IMO supporting Specter was a big mistake by the Bush administration. It appears to me (from my vantage point way out here in Colorado) to be another example of President Bush's excessive degree of loyalty to supposed allies who are not loyal in return.
