I’m forced to support semi-con. Shelly Moore Capito. Her opponent, Ann Barth is a loooong time Byrd girl Friday. My bet is she is in line to be picked by Gov. Manchin as Byrd’s successor if he doesn’t finish his term. A defeat just may stop that.

I’m donating to conservative candidates as well. Russell, West, and others. I refuse to pay McCain to poke me in the eye. *L*
Sometimes that's the best option we've got. I'm lucky in Colorado--there are genuine conservatives for whom to vote.

I was just wonderin’ (getting near nap time), if Barth wins and Byrd leaves (whatever) and the gov. selects Barth to fill Byrd’s seat, will he also get to pick who fills her seat in the House?
