My guess is that Barry would be more comfortable wearing an explosive vest than sitting in a Christian church.

I agree... they treat Evangelical Americans as if they are ‘exotic’ people whose culture need to be observed, studied and respected, but nevertheless is still an inferior one compared to the researchers’.

regardless- the answers given by this “great orator” were an abomination and will be used as campaign fodder until November....

He should look for a job reading the news on the radio. Stick to the copy. No editorial comments. That IS his pay grade.

My guess is that Barry would be more comfortable wearing an explosive vest than sitting in a Christian church.

I think he would rather be holding the remote detonator while guiding some mental misfit to a target. He features himself as a member of the elite with his Harvard law degree and political successes. That facade falls away quickly when he has to demonstrate any intelligence or knowledge. He's so ignorant that he doesn't even realize when he has made an error. Pure hubris.

Dukakis-y. I like this new adjective.

What is this author taliking about? The event at Saddleback was not restricted to church members. It was open to the public, and thus not a home-field advantage for McCain unless Obama supporters are afraid to enter a church.

The author goes on to say: In mainstream Evangelical culture one testifies to the Glory of God exuberantly, unhesitatingly, with hands thrust heavenward, heart open wide and eyes scanning the horizon for possible indices of the Kingdom's coming. It looks like McCain, who will never be confused for a seminarian, figured that one out.

I suppose that the people at Trinity UCC where Obama was for 20 years were less demonstrative.

“On H&C Rick Warren said without hesitation and without being asked “I’m a conservative.”

Like I said I have yet to hear him say anything to the contrary. And the Warren bashers can't cough up any thing substantial.

Well, ya got me. I guess there aren’t enough enemies in the world for some people. I found no fault in his format or his performance at this civil forum he hosted.
