So you think the chorus of white hate groups is seething with rage that Barack Obama could become president? Think again.
Members of the knuckle-dragging set are taking a rosier view, judging by their Internet posts. They say the possibility of a biracial president is helping their recruitment efforts....
Obama has a bigger immediate headache than [David] Duke and his allied dimwits. It's the rising chorus of anti-Obama attack books that don't always let truth get in the way of a good hatchet job.
Leading the pack is "Obama Nation" by Jerome R. Corsi. It leads the New York Times best-seller list, helped along by bulk orders from conservative book clubs and other arenas of the right-wing echo chamber.
Corsi does not hide his agenda. His inaccurate portrayal of Obama as a closet Muslim and black activist drug-user is intended to do what his earlier hit-job book, "Unfit for Command," did to Sen. John Kerry in 2004 when he was the Democratic presidential nominee....

More publicity! Ka-ching!
obama should not expect republicans to vote for him, therefore when he loses it will be because democrats did not vote for him, and that is becuase the democrats are racist, just ask senator Byrd
When I saw just the headline, I couldn’t help but conclude that Obama must be at war with himself.
Has the ChiTrib ever seen a “hit-book” on a conservative or Republican? Or is that phrase reserved only for books attacking leftists/liberals/Democrats?
Why is this a story? Just how many people compose the “chorus of white hate groups” nowadays? 30?
Hey,...I resemble those remarks!
“His inaccurate portrayal of Obama as a closet Muslim”
Corsi’s book makes no such assertion, but states that Obama studied the Koran, was enrolled in public school as a Muslim, and has called the Muslim call to prayer ‘the most beautiful sound’, and went to a mosque; all of which Obama has denied. The book leaves the reader free to come to his/her own conclusions. It’s clear that the critics of the book haven’t read it.
So they have finally figures out how to discount being #1 on the NYT Best Seller list; it’s all of those conservative book clubs that are buying in bulk (then dumping them into the East River, of course)......
Clarence Page is the Bob Herbert of the Chicago Tribune.
More people will read the book than read the Tribune review...uh Hit piece.
The Tribune ran Ryan out of the 2004 IL Senate race that paved the way for the Messiah.
Clarence Page himself is Black. I’d be surprised if he backed anyone but Obama. If that’s a racist remark, sue me.
Perhaps 30 actual white racists, with several hundred covert FBI agents who have infiltrated their organizations and a huge gaggle of Leftists who are so desperate to keep the myth of a 'massive white racist movement' alive that they have their own sets of sheets and hoods at home that they pull out for marching at "Klan" rallies, where they can wave at their apoplectic buddies protesting their march at a ratio of several hundred or more to one.
I recall a TV 'news' report at the height of the "Aryan Nations" .idiocy some years back where the then-Governor of Idaho was interviewed....he said something to the effect of "all of this stupidity is being caused by ten people".
Do you think these metro whiner journalistes will ever realize how out of touch they are?
Start thinking it’s a free speech country... thus, you can say anything you want...
Of course, fairness compels, no?
Indeed, it's what he sees in the mirror.
Clarence Page... You are the lunatic fringe.
