Only Sen. Barack Obama knows who he is going to pick for his vice president. Well, that is probably not exactly true. The two Davids’ (Axelrod and Plouffe) and wife Michelle probably know as well. The Drudge Report is suggesting that Obama's pick might become public as early as Tuesday, Aug. 19. In celebration of that event, Drudge is running a poll for readers to guess who that nominee will be, with Sen. Evan Bayh, Sen. Joe Biden, Sen. Hillary Clinton, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, Sen. John Kerry, Georgia Sen. Sam Nunn and a wild card making the Drudge short list.

Conventional wisdom says Obama needs an attack dog so he can stay exalted and above the fray. That rules out Bayh and rules in Biden. BUT- last night Hannity said he’d heard that Michelle (remember- one of Barry’s top 3 advisors) told hubby he needes to choose someone he’s comfortable with- and apparently that criteria sends Biden to the back of the line.
I think he’ll choose Kaine. A dolt if ever there was one. He does apparently worship at the altar of Barry though- last week he said he was glad Putin had listened to Obama and stopped the fighting.
Today is ex-President Clinton's birthday--a good day for Obama to poke him in the eye by picking someone other than Hillary.
Agreed, he’s a joke and it looks like the info was a hoax. Of course all of BO’s possible choices are somewhat of a joke. :)

That's why Al Gore's staffers dropped Evan Bayh like a hot potato when he was a possible 2000 Gore VP pick.
