Well he must have been reading Solzenitzhyn in jail.

Never mind that the Gulag Archipeligo wasn’t published until 1978

Fact’s have never been a barrier to a good liberal smear.

So what if Solzhenitsyn didn’t write the “Cross in the Dirt” till 7 years [1978] after McCain talked to his fellow prisoners about the “Cross in the Dirt” Story [In 1971].

Hell, Hitlery didn’t have a name until she was 7 or 8 because her parents wanted to name her after an itinerant bee keeper in New Zealand, but they had to wait until he climbed Mr. Everest. I don’t see the problem!

Wonder what Keith Overbite will have to say about this . . . I bet he’ll miss the part about WHEN McCain was said to have chatted about this. With any luck, McCain will be voted the “Worst Person in the WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRLLLLDDDD!

You are the one who posted that 'memory' is unreliable.

I was a Navy Intelligence Officer and took part in Operation Homecoming. I remember hearing this same story in the 70’s.

I recall seeing a movie, I think it was “The Robe,” wherein the Christians ID themselves to one another by drawing the fish symbol. That was 1953.

“Don’t forget algore used to have the union label song sung to him as a lullaby, even though the song wasn’t written until 1975”

Are you using smear tactics? Maybe Tipper sang it to him to put him to beddy-bye when he was in the Senate. I sense a “swift-booting” going on here.

I’m not sure what the implication of the post is, but McCain never claimed that he had or hadn’t told the story before. My understanding is that numerous people had heard the story before, so what?

Yeah, McCain needs to make up stories about being a POW because the truth just isn’t compelling enough. I mean, how does he compete with ‘helping people find their voice’ in the south side of Chicago or whatever it was Obama did to serve his country?

The look in McCain’s eyes after telling that story totally changed how I felt about the man. He’s a hero and deserves our support.

He hit a grand slam Sat. night in my opinion.

McCain was accused of plagiarizing a story from a book published in 1978. That he told the story in 1971 puts that accusation to rest.

Rush says the liberal media are scared to death of Christians because they have no solid belief of their own. When they hear a Christian talk about God it reminds of something they would like to forget . . .
