Tim Pawlenty and Evan Bayh on Face the Nation. I missed MTP....dunno, Olympics on.
Now I like Pawlenty, at least so far. And the little I’ve heard about him is mostly positive, if not filled with zeal. So should McCain nominate Pawlenty I will consider this choice with a fairness only I possess.
As for Bayh...well hey, I think he’d be way better than Biden but see upthread, as much as I’d love for Delaware to be rid of Biden (our senator since 1972), I don’t want it at the cost of a President Obama.
So Bayh says, I’m not making this up, that if only we’d listened to Obama a few months ago we’d probably be outta this mess!
So help me out here....exactly WHEN, between the Reverend Wright, William Ayers, the fights with Hillary, the “present” votes in the legislature....WHEN THE HELL DID OBAMA MENTION GEORGIA?
Heh.
Pawlenty, a good looking guy by the way, this is a plus, points out, to my own surprise, that Evan Bayh SUPPORTED the war in Iraq.
Hmmmmmm.
FYI
Debate is being rerun on c-span right now.
Obama is ummmmm....up ahhh now.
Its the phony BC all over again....
What do you think is Putin’s ultimate aim in this conflict?
“This being the same Andrea Mitchell that reported the rumor that McCain was the one that kept Obama from visiting the wounded troops. Andrea Mitchell no longer a reporter, a rumor monger!”
Yeah, that one. But why take seriously a woman who looks like a ten dollar hooker?
I know, that is what has me nervous. Obama has come to the conclusion that he can only win with Hillary on the ticket (and his polling probably shows it). That is why he hasnt announced his VP yet. He plans to do it at the end of his speech at Invesco. the press will all be having shivers up their legs. It will be sickening to watch. The Obama/Hillary ticket will be declared unbeatable. I hope not, but I am afraid this may be the case.
I'm getting that same feeling...
Beware of Pawlenty. I’ve heard some cons that stop me from jumping too soon to support him.
We still have to wait and see. McCain surprises us over an over. I would not even try to guess what he will do.
ROTFLMAO !!GIVE HER A 20!
Seems like they may have changed the forecast, if it goes in South of me I’ll be fine. I’m only one block off the Tampa Bay so I have to keep my eyes/ears open. But right now, we are just watching the situation.
Hang in there, it will be over soon enough. Hopefully it won’t gain much strength.
My son and his wife will probably evac to my house, if evac orders for Tampa Bay are issued. He lives on Davis Island which is at level zero!!!

Who among us is perfect? Which President was 100% appealing to all Americans .. in other words, perfect to all, or even some ? That is an unrealistic expectation.
I doubt we'll see a President come this way again, faced with such multiple dangerous and complex challenges, from abroad and from within, who remained so relentlessly true to his convictions, and who (with his family) truly restored high moral character, honor and dignity to the White House. How quickly we forget the family that soiled and stained our highest office for 8 miserable years. I especially grateful that he brought the matters of faith, compassion and God's messages of goodness and decency so fully into the public eye from that highest office.
Thank God for Pres. Bush, his principled courage and fortitude, especially in the face of such vicious personal attacks for so long.
I'm so grateful he's been our President ... I (and I think the bulk of sane American people) will mourn his term ending with great sadness. I believe even his critics will long for the days when he was at 1600 Pennsylvania, when they live through what's coming next term.
Honest historians will record his greatness.
France!
Put me in the column who loves and respects President Bush. Being too nice a guy is something he just can’t help!
Andrea Mitchell is way past being simply a bi*ch. She is a smug liar and pure propagandist. She has no sense that her job is ever on the line. She has a license to do whatever she can, and her vile soul is frequently on display.
Sorry everyone. I put FtN and it’s really This Week.
Shows how often I watch this crap.
Russia-Georgia, Afghanistan—it’s almost the same thing. ;-)
“Morphing into Luke Skywalker right before our eyes..”
HAHAHAHA! That brought at outright guffaw from me. Well done!
What I have learned about myself from McCain’s nomination is that people have good points that we sometimes overlook in the heat of battle. McCain’s prickliness and maverick behavior may be what we need in a candidate right now, and I sure did find myself actually LIKING him last night.
I have a bumper sticker which goes on the car today, which will no doubt irritate my union brother, and I am sending the McCain camp some money. I sent the RNC some money last week because their ads cheered me up.
I really think we can win this. One thing I would like is for Mrs. McCain to get more publicity, as she does so much charitable work without much fanfare.
