Tim Pawlenty and Evan Bayh on Face the Nation. I missed MTP....dunno, Olympics on.
Now I like Pawlenty, at least so far. And the little I’ve heard about him is mostly positive, if not filled with zeal. So should McCain nominate Pawlenty I will consider this choice with a fairness only I possess.
As for Bayh...well hey, I think he’d be way better than Biden but see upthread, as much as I’d love for Delaware to be rid of Biden (our senator since 1972), I don’t want it at the cost of a President Obama.
So Bayh says, I’m not making this up, that if only we’d listened to Obama a few months ago we’d probably be outta this mess!
So help me out here....exactly WHEN, between the Reverend Wright, William Ayers, the fights with Hillary, the “present” votes in the legislature....WHEN THE HELL DID OBAMA MENTION GEORGIA?
Heh.
Pawlenty, a good looking guy by the way, this is a plus, points out, to my own surprise, that Evan Bayh SUPPORTED the war in Iraq.
Hmmmmmm.
Beware of Pawlenty. I’ve heard some cons that stop me from jumping too soon to support him.
We still have to wait and see. McCain surprises us over an over. I would not even try to guess what he will do.
He's trying to say that he did (maybe by impersonating the Holy Spirit). Don't matter - many people voting for Obama like him because they expect he'll give them lots of freebies, like free health care, free college tuition, free housing, no more dependence on oil, all paid for by taxes on the rich and the oil companies, withdrawing the troops from Iraq and slashing the military budget.
I didn't see Bayh, but one of the DNC talking points for today is that Obama warned us that our focus on Iraq kept us too distracted to take care of ANYTHING else. I'm pretty sure Kaine and McCaskill both said it not quite word for word, but close.
They know they can't say we're losing/have lost in Iraq anymore so they ignore the success and say that Iraq drained us of the ability to deal with anything else. It made me laugh and feel pretty darn good.
