I was fairly friendly with Waylon Jennings in the mid to late 90s since I was temporarily engaged to his Girl Friday/Office Manager...before Waylon moved to Phoenix with Jesse.
Coe would come by a lot just checking on Waylum at the Music Row Victorian Mansion that doubled as Waylum’s office and center of touring and merchandising.
a big imposing fellow but he adored Waylon....hell, they all did 'cept June Carter...ol Waymore did not suffer fools gladly
my little boys turn up the CD player in my F250 and open the windows and sunroof to hoot and holler when Coe is on ...my wife and daughters cringe..lol
You talking David Allen Coe ?..........got em ALL !
I've seen him a few times at the Broken Spoke or Iron Horse....whichever one has all the boardwalks. Coe seems like a tough coot. Definitely does things his own way.
Been watching some of those Waylon clips on youtube....with Cash, Willie, Jerry Reed - Waymore was a legend in appearance, sound, voice. I regret never having seen one of his shows.
I shook hands with Jerry Clower and Justin Wilson,
do I qualify as an expert????
Al Bundy was excited because he shook the hand
of the man who shook Andy Griffith’s hand. I know how
he felt.
You aren’t listening to DAC X-rated are you???
BTW You are right on about the definition of an evangelical.
