No, this is an incorrect quot. They left out the stammers and stutters. Obama sounds like an idiot without a written speech.
very true and very sad...
Understood on the “present” part. But as I said (and post 34 gives the accurate details) - in the past he as done more than just vote “present”. Perhaps McCain can point this out in some ads.
And VERY MUCH AGREED that we need to have a gain in Conservatives in the House and Senate regardless of who the President is.
If I were on the campaign staff, I’d save this one for the end of September, beginning of October - and replay the interview with Hannity & Jill Stanek. Was it just me, or could you hear Hannity’s voice change?
This is something most don’t know, and most find shocking and not easily forgotten. Thus, you save it for later.
IMO, of course.
And from this link:

“Obama also has been more aggressive in framing his pro-abortion position previously than he was on Sunday. When he was in the Illinois Senate, for example, he repeatedly opposed a bill that would have defined as a person a baby who had survived an induced-labor abortion and was born alive.
In a 2001 Illinois Senate floor speech about that bill, he argued that to call a baby who survived an abortion a person would give it equal protection rights under the 14th Amendment and would give credibility to the argument that the same child inside its mothers womb was also a person and thus could not be aborted.
When the Illinois Senate bill was amended to make it identical to a federal law that included language to protect Roe v. Wadeand that the U.S. Senate voted unanimously to passObama still opposed the bill, voting it down in the Illinois Senate committee he chaired.
Yet, in Ohio on Sunday, Obama depicted abortion as a tragedy to be avoided, while being kept legal.
On the issue of abortion, that is always a tragic and painful issue, he said. I think it is always tragic, and we should prevent it as much as possible .... But I think that the bottom line is that in the end, I think women, in consultation with their pastors, and their doctors, and their family, are in a better position to make these decisions than some bureaucrat in Washington. Thats my view. Again, I respect people who may disagree, but I certainly dont think it makes me less Christian. Okay.
Obviously he doesn't think that a baby's human rights begin at birth!
If the answer was "above his pay grade" he should have abstained from voting! Why then did he play the role of God and vote to destroy a helpless human life? One should always err on the side of caution.
Weasel words won't work - we all understand his thoughts on abortion and infanticide.
And he was stupid enough to let Hillary’s people have a vote.
I still think she’s gonna get it.
Link doesn't work- I tried changing www.cns to www.cbs and that didn't help.
OMG! ...this guy gets creepier every damn day :-(
They just have to make a campaign attack ad about this.
That’s what happens when you write your own headline. AJF blew it.
It's the one you made up. Jake Tapper is a leftist journalist. When I saw your title I was shocked but hoped it were true.
The custom around here is to publish the original title and put your editorial title in parenthesis after that.
or editorialize in the first comment.
I know cakeboy Tapper would not have said that...if he had, it would be monumental for a lefty reporter...and would be ominous for Obama.
Most excellent post, thank you.
Welcome to FR.
Knowing GOD is above his pay grade???? YIKERS!! A child is God’s GIFT....Barry is a TARD.....or EVIL.....maybe both.
Sir, you just caused the eyes of this 55 year old to water up big time. Meeting you some day would be a privilege.
In several liberal countries, infanticide is basically legal. This is where Obama wants to take us.
From the link below:
Postpartum depression is recognized as a legal defense in at least 29 countries, including Great Britain, Canada, Italy and Australia, Oberman said. Those countries have infanticide laws, which state that when a woman kills a child under the age of 1 and she can prove that the “balance of her mind is disturbed” by reasons relating to giving birth, the maximum charge the woman can face is manslaughter.
The practical result of these statutes is that these women receive probation instead of jail time and they receive sentences that require probation plus counseling...

LOL! Funny, AND true.
Great minds think alike :)
Obambi’s ignorance and ability to stonewall are astounding.
Re: Obama said that whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity, you know, is above my pay grade.
So is he going to leave the decision to Bill gates?
I never thought of developing and understanding my very own beliefs and principles as a paid enterprise.
I thought that’s what self aware, mature grownups were supposed to do.
