What we need and what Romney provides par excellence is a super attack dog. Articulate, well spoken, not afraid to go on the offensive, clear thinking, and his eye on the ball. He brings that, play in several states, and a ready-made base of grassroots support. There are many options for VP - I consider Romney an attractive one.

I don't think we should throw McCain under the bus for his VP pick, unless McCain does something stupid like pick a Democrat.

Mr. Huckabee himself aimed a few jabs at Mr. Romney this week, arguing that he would make an unacceptable vice-presidential pick because of his shifting positions on several issues... Hey, Huck... are you sure you aren't talkin' about McCain?

as conservatives embraced him as a bona fide standard-bearer for the movement. I know it's not the Onion, but it should be. I'm always amazed by what the Left can say with a straight face.

What you said...
Looks like Romney is still begging for the VP slot...
To: Plutarch
A Mormon on the ticket guarantees a President Obama. It is campaign suicide. Do I like it? Not at all. But it is reality.
To: Scarchin
I think Romney raises more concerns w/ liberals than he does w/ true conservatives. It’s interesting to note the assault lately by the liberals & MSM on Romney. If they didn’t fear him, they wouldn’t say boo.
What’s a shame is that we have “conservatives” here that seem to be in agreement w/ the liberals & MSM. Kind of a head scratcher to me.
