I on the other hand think it is a good idea to show them. I wish all the atrocities of 911 had been shown on network TV.

I was ok until I got to the picture with the woman that favored my mother. Gory and graphic and I had to shut it down.

I have seen enough.

Are these the pictures out of South Ossetia? It seems that these are what is being shown as what the Georgian army did.

If so, that is horrific. I am so confused. I don’t know what to believe. Russia can’t be trusted, especially seeing how they are plundering the countryside. But if this is something the Georgians did... I don’t agree with that either. Not for attempting to break away. You don’t destroy buildings and homes for that. Much less bomb houses with families in them.

I do not know what to believe anymore. I don’t trust anyone, sad as that is.

I wish those who think (liberals and naive) appeasment and negotiations are the answer would look at these pictures.

So - anyone tell me what sort of bomb this is? Even more so - what does it say????

It certainly doesn't look like a "smart" bomb... Then again, when you don't care if you kill civilians, I guess it doesn't really matter.

Sobering. Difficult to tell exactly what is happening from just the pictures (text in Russian?)
Most of the casualties appear to be Georgian & civilians.

Apparently the Russians were writing stuff like ‘This is for you America’ and other assorted things on their bombs. They’ve apparently been waiting for this moment for twenty years.

If we were to liberate Georgia from the Russians next week, there would be very little left of the Georgia country side the following week.

Who took the Photos? Russians? Georgians? South Ossetian “irrgulars?” I can’t read Cyrillic stuff. (Sorry Obama).

“If you will not fight for your cause when you can easily win;
if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not so costly;
then you may come to the moment when you will have to fight
with all the odds against you and only a slim chance for survival.
But there may be an even worse case.
You may have to fight when there is absolutely no chance of victory,
because it is better to perish than to live as a slave.”
- - Winston Churchill

Thank you. I did not know what their flag looked like and I was not going to go back to that site to see again.

You are right. This is a horrible situation to be in.

Part of me wants to go scream “Help them!!” But what you say is true. I hear them crying out for help, and they are our friends. God help us all I guess. I don’t think this is the end.

I think the day was too symbolic for it to have been on a whim and that thought is frightening. This is something Putin has planned for a while. That tells me there is more in the mix.

It was so sad to see that picture of our President looking at Putin. A mix of grief and anger in his eyes. I was thinking tonight of how devestating this must be to President Bush. We can make fun of him for talking about seeing his soul and what not. But this man brought Putin into his own home. Called him friend. Fed him. Let him sleep in the home he shared with his wife and children. He did everything you are supposed to do to build a friendship and create loyalty.

I think I may just be in jail for smacking someone if they dare say anything about President Bush again over not being diplomatic. Look what diplomacy got him here.

Those were dead Georgian soldiers. Old trick they seem to have learned from the chechens. On Kavkaz the chechens used to do that to dead Russian soldiers, among many other lovely things, and post the pics.

+memory eternal+ for the Georgians who are now reposed.

I believe he really loves the Georgian people. Most who visit there succumb to this....I know it is painful for him.

It is disgusting, some of what they posted, so you don’t want to read it. I am thinking the war with chechnya has really turned Russian soldiers into sadists.

I heard from a friend in Poland where they are seeing a lot of this on tv of course and I was told Russian bombs dropped on Georgia had painted inscriptions on them - “to NATO”.

Agreed to that most of the dead in the photos at the link are Georgians.

I on the other hand think it is a good idea to show them.

Actually, we'd be on the same hand then. Making them available is important, but not everyone is benefitted by seeing a guy with half a head up close. I was just doing what I feel was my duty to those who may wish to refrain from viewing disturbing images.

I wish all the atrocities of 911 had been shown on network TV.

Agree 100%! The information needs to be made available to anyone who wants to see.

Their boots, many had their boots taken too.

It’s horrific, but I think every able bodied male here (the USA) should look to see what can happen. Just because we’ve become comfortable, doesn’t mean it has to stay that way.

As someone mentioned about having the resources to rebuild their homes lacking insurance, it goes beyond that. Worse than worrying about home rebuilding, at the point these people are at, it’s worrying about mere survival. One would be worrying about shelter not from the elements so much as from the Russians. Then there’s food and water, medicines; the basic requirements for life itself that one has to worry about.

Prayers going out for these people.

I heard Glenn Beck mention the bomb inscriptions today. The Russians are not our friends.
