Pagan festival celebrates harvest

Celebrate the Autumn Equinox and help your community at the Central Jersey Pagan Pride Day festival from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16 in Lot F, Colonial Park, East Millstone.

All ages are welcome at this free event, which will feature a Pagan religious ceremony plus information on Pagan spiritual practices. Patrons are asked to share the harvest by bringing a donation of a nonperishable item to benefit Ronald McDonald House, or a monetary donation for the Central New Jersey Epileptic Fund or DeJesus Fund.

...

The ceremony will celebrate the diversity of the Pagan community and bless the results of the charity drive before it is given away. Participants are encouraged to bring percussion instruments for drumming. Modern Paganism, or Neo-Paganism, is a religious movement based on combinations of ancient polytheism, modern eco-spirituality and reverence for the divine as both masculine and feminine. Some common traditions found under this umbrella include Wicca or Witchcraft, Asatru, Hinduism and Druidry. Pagans are found in all walks of life from professionals to homemakers, and hold ethical standards that emphasize respect for nature, humanity and oneself.

Hmmm. They want to lessen discrimination and then want you to contribut to the DeJesus Fund! LOL!

I was curious so I looked in to the history of this disturbed group.

THE HISTORY OF THE PAGAN PRIDE PROJECT

Dagonet Dewr, Executive Director Brian Ewing, Membership Director Revised: 5/25/07

Nobody really knows who first used the term "Pagan Pride". In name, it owes its origins to the Gay Pride movement, and certainly it is a term that reaches far beyond any single organization. It cannot be copyrighted; the founders have always felt it would be a breach of honor and decency to copyright it. There are rumors of single, local events using the name of Pagan Pride as early as 1992, though no documentation of these events has been found. We can, however, safely identify and document the first organized movement to support and encourage public celebrations of Pagan Pride in communities all over the world -- the Pagan Pride Project.

....

Sure enough it has its roots with "GAY Pride".

God doesn't approve of homosexuality. So it makes sense to have a "DeJesus Fund" but of course they are being "tolerent" and not showing any discrimination - LOL!

Pagans are they typical HATEFUL, HYPOCRITES!

First Amendment - Religion and Expression “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

I doubt I will be attending the Pagan Fest. That said, as long as these people arent hurting anyone or destroying property they are entitled to worship or celebrate however they wish.

In New Jersey? They would have to be trolling the kindergartens, in which case some pretty tough laws and penalties would apply.

Hey, I’m celebrating my harvest festival too! I have some nice green tomatoes to fry up, beautiful squash and the butter beans will go nicely with that hambone I have been saving! Gardens are great.

Isn’t this what they mean?

I wasn’t aware of that one.
That is interesting.
I’ll have to read up on it.

Thanks.

“Bring back the Black Plague!”

Interesting that you should say that. Leading up to and through the black plague years there were accounts of church led exterminations of cats, snakes, and owls due to suspicions of them being spies for Satan. Pagans having these animals and many others for their spiritual symbols didnt help their cause either. The irony is twisted both ways here because the lack of rat predators caused an increase in the population. Rat fleas were the plague's vector. The other twist was that many of the women who were killed for being witches were actually herbalist who's only offense was practicing medicine without church sanction.

Like Islam was hijacked by extremists, the environmental and conservation movement has been hijacked by the Eco-Nazis. The new agers drum and dance very well with the green jack boots.

This going “green” and “environmentalism” is

ALL ABOUT EARTH WORSHIP!

Conserve.

Protect the environment.

It's ALL about elevating the EARTH above PEOPLE.

Plus they do away with capitalism. So the LEFT loves it.

BTW, have you picked out your mud hut yet?

I recall the Obomnation saying something about Ethiopia having a smaller “carbon footprint” than us. Look at HOW THEY LIVE in Ethiopia! Who'd want to scale back to THAT?
Heck, they'd love to SCALE UP!
