Two teenage twins have been missing from their Southern California home since Sunday, and their parents fear their daughters met someone on the Internet and could be in danger.
Mary and Morgan Corrodi, 16, were last seen outside their Malibu home getting into a car occupied by two women. Jack Corrodi said his daughters, who have IQs of 70 and attend special education classes at Malibu High School, recently spent "many hours" on the Internet and received multiple calls from unknown persons.
"[A neighbor] saw the girls standing there, just kind of hanging around like they were waiting for somebody, and a few minutes later, a small car pulled up and the twins got in the back seat," Corrodi told FOXNews.com. "And then they drove away and we haven't heard from them since."
Corrodi said the girls are "very slow mentally" but appear to be much older than 16. He's fearful someone they met online may take advantage of their disabilities.
"It's possible, that's what I'm afraid of," he said. "They look, up close, like they're 22, and mentally, they're 10 or 11. They're very slow mentally. They each have dolls and they still play with them and yet their interest is to meet boys."

It sounds like Mr. Corrodi's daughters are geniuses when compared to him, if he let them spend "many hours" on the Internet with no knowledge of what they were doing or whose calls they were accepting.

It surprised me to know that girls with IQs of 70 could nonetheless maintain 7 different myspace accounts. I’m not being snarky, it just seems like a skill above what I’d expect. But I don’t know that much about the developmentally disabled.

Not good...not good at all. Pray for them!

What the heck where the parents doing? Picking the crumbs out of their behinds?

Same thoughts went through my mind.

It took me a while to get that, but I got it, LOL.

No it’s not. These girls are pretty and I can’t tell by looking at the picture they are disabled. My mind is going to unpleasant scenarios.

I have a pretty almost 11 year old that has a brain injury. She’s in puberty, and it’s very scary!!!
So far, she’s managing quite well. She’s not boy crazy.
Her IQ is higher than 70, but she is just not great at social situations.
I took her out of public school, and she is in a small, private Christian school. I feel like she is in a much safer environment.

Prayers for a safe return. The family must be frantic.

ok people stop blaming the parents for “Not monitoring the internet use” that has nothing to do with it. The problem here is these girls were over protected leading to a rebellious streak which ended up being the catalyst for running away. Stop blaming kids for being kids even if they aren't all there in the head. It wouldn't surprise me a one bit if these girls having an IQ of 70 is a complete lie, told to us and the media by their parents in order to get more coverage all across the internet and tv news. I just seen the parents on TV saying “We sheltered them a bit” and “We took them to a party once, sat outside till it was over then took them home” Thats the sorta parenting that makes a kid hate their parents, especially if those kids have a problem with perfectly coherent thought. Stop blaming the losers that scam chicks on myspace and start looking into you're own personal problems of over parenting someone who requires a special touch a bit finesse.
