How can the government force private industry to create shelters on their own private property?!

But I guess this comes naturally to Democrats, they think everything belongs to the government.

Obama made a speech about energy a while ago, and he said something along the lines that he will DIRECT the government AND PRIVATE industry to invest in the new energy, etc. The point is that he thinks that there are no private rights.

It’s time for successful, legitimate business to move out of California.

I’m retired. I used to work for a very large company. It had put up with so much government interference that it made a strategic decision to stop locating plants and warehouses in several states. It eventually closed most all of its plants in Kalifornia although it realistically had to keep warehouses there.

Continual governmental interference? Eventually Atlas will shrug!

...The shelters must be easily accessible and include drinking water, bathrooms, tables, seating and trashcans...

What, no TV's, DVD players, or beer fridge??? That's outrageous.

As this move by the LA City Council has been on the books for a vote for awhile now, and it was published in the news media, obviously there has been time for such “BIG BOX” Corporations to protest, or have input towards that pending vote.

It’s apparent by the article that the input was not negative of nature, or perhaps collusive with Political desires of the Council. Regardless the Council voted for what can only be deemed as legitimization of sanctuary for illegal aliens. That IMO means Los Angeles is now a Sanctuary City.

Federal agents need to arrest the LA city council since this action violates federal law. Aiding and abetting illegal aliens is against the law.

For crying out loud!I live in Hollywood and just getting from the parking lot to the ACTUAL ENTRANCE on the Home Depot on Sunset, I felt like Jason from the Argonauts fighting my way through zombies. There’s too many of them.

The funny part? OSH hardware which is as big as Home Depot across the street is practically empty of them at the parking lots.

The ONLY way to end this *^%*^%*&, is for victims of illegal aliens in “Sanctuary Cities” to sue the City as being in violation of FEDERAL LAWS and acting illegally by harboring fugitives with known illegal status and criminal records....

Sue the damned cities into bankruptcy....
Demand that State and Federal dollars be withheld from Sanctuary Cities ——

If they feel so strongly about encouraging illegal aliens and harboring criminals — let them do it on THEIR dime, and accept the legal consequences of being sued into oblivion.

Home Depot has the resources to fight this. Whether they do or not is up to them and will no doubt be decided based on how they wish to be perceived in the largely Hispanic LA community.
