It's a no good, very bad, horrible, terrible day for Musgrove
WASHINGTON, DC -- Ronnie Musgrove is having arguably his worst day ever. First, he was named as the public official in the Mississippi Beef Processors Plant case. Then, the most recent defendant in the Beef case pleaded guilty to giving Musgrove a $25,000 "gratuity." News articles are even reporting there may be more action in the Beef case this week. And now, the news is reporting that former trial lawyer Paul Minor -- who gave more than $171,000 to Musgrove's campaigns -- is asking to be freed from jail.
"Imprisoned trial lawyer Paul Minor is asking to be freed on an appeal bond..." "Since the judge revoked Minor's bond Sept. 18, 2006, the lawyer has spent nearly two years behind bars." (The Clarion-Ledger, 8/12/08)
"In 2007, a federal jury in Mississippi convicted Minor on corruption charges for helping guarantee or pay off campaign loans of judges who heard some of Minor's cases." (The Clarion-Ledger, 8/12/08)

Ronnie Musgrove just can't win. Wicker is going to run away with this one. Musgrove is floundering. It is good to see Mississippi Republicans have fight in them otherwise this would've been a horror story. Now if only the RNC could start hammering that liberal Mark Warner in Virginia. I thought Virginians had fight too. We will see. Obama may win Virginia if Mark Warner continues to do as well as he is. Mississippi and Louisiana are examples when southern conservatives unite. We are going to win both of those races.

It’s “a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day”. I should know, my two-year-old has me read this over and over and over and...

Ronnie is very much a “D”, in every sense of the term...

So is this a D or and R? Cant tell from the story... The hard-and-fast rule of the MSM is that bad Dems aren't labeled, but bad Repubs are.
If it doesn't say, it's a Dem.

I know... it’s the first rule of reading a DBM report. Just noting the omission...

....Except this piece was written by the Republican Senate Campaign organization. Well, in that case it's obvious that they omitted the designation because the NRSC clearly wouldn't be bashing an (R)
But the MSM rule still holds. :-)
