Of course who knows how things would have turned out had the Chinese not sent 12 year olds out there.

“The Americans were plainly uptight....”
Obviously stressed from living a brutal life under the exploitative running dogs of capitalism.
“Their exuberance and personality - qualities just as vital as their somersaults and twists - were nowhere to be found while the Chinese let loose with abandon. They smiled. They giggled. They traded high-fives and even a chest bump.”
Due to the joys of the fresh lilac scents and butterflies-are-free fruits of the kind and benevolent communist system.

Where’s the barf alert?
And yeah, American gymnasts will be worried when they’re competing against 12 year olds.

Pressure is an adult reaction and any grace under it is strictly an adult response. There was no pressure on the Chinese team because they are children.

The Chinese national gymnastics team members are taken at the age of 3 away from their parents and they are allowed to see their parents only one time a year. This left wing hateful lunatic who wrote this piece of crap should live in China and see how to be treated as a subhuman under an evil communist regime really means.

Read this article and notice that one of the Chinese gymnastics team girls is listed as being 14 years old. Not 16.

I left comments and “The Monitor” stating that while the American gymnasts made some mistakes, it is fast becoming evident that the Chinese gymnasts may be ineligible to compete because of their age.

It’s a communist regime. The end justifies the means. The Chinese female gymnasts were obviousl underage. Remember the Chinese women swimmers were winning all their competitions until they ( IOC )tightened up the doping agency. Where are they now?

Definitely a chest bump. No boobs to bump among that team.

The Chinese were ahead when they screwed up on the beams a bit. That gave us the opportunity to bounce back. When our first gymnast fell off the beam we immediately lost our chance to overtake them in that event. The rest of the girls did great.
In the floor exercise the girl who fell on the beam, fell again and it was over.
The Chinese knew they were in first and all they had to do was go through the motions and not get careless, which is what they did.
IMO sports writers are the epitomy of the person who has never accomplished anything in their lives but has a job criticizing those who put their face out there and themselves on the line for glory.
Sportswriters are just as big of scum as your typical journalist.

Predicatable FR responses. Had this article been about China’s poor sportsmanship, everyone here would have gotten on the band wagon. But since it’s about the poor attitude of the US team.....well, this article, surely must be propaganda.
To: 2dogjoe
Why the invidious comparison? If one side’s nervous and the other one’s self-assured, it doesn’t have anything to do with sportsmanship or graciousness.
