The head of Georgia's national security council said Wednesday Russia has sent 50 tanks into the central Georgian city of Gori, despite an agreed-upon ceasefire calling on both sides to retreat to positions they held before fighting began six days ago.
Security council head Alexander Lomaia said that the tanks entered Gori about 9:45 a.m. local time, but there was no independent confirmation of his claim.

They also had President Saakashvili on for a live interview saying they will defend the capitol with “every last drop of their blood”.
FNC has Steve Harrigan following a Russian convoy in the area of Gori.

Bigger picture, yes. Accurate? No.
Russia is in the mopping up stage now, they are squeezing everything out of this oppurtunity to smash the Georgian military infastructure before the truce talks end and some type of deal is done.

Think that U.S. should send official witness to watch what’s going in agreement with GEORGIAN authorities!

We heard that yesterday and the day before. Pretty soon there wont be a Georgia left. IMHO, you don't let the dogs of war loose (Chechens, Cossacks and Ossetian Speed Demons) if you plan on living peaceful with you neighbor.
I think they want to take out Georgia’s president.

The President of Georgia stated this morning they “would fight until the last drop of blood”...
“CNN reporter saying that a line of Russian vehicles heading for Tbilisi at 30 kph!”
They are attempting to draw fire from the Georgians so they can claim Georgian aggression and start up the war again...typical Soviet style tactics of oppression.
Just reported that President Bush will be making a public announcement.
No time announced on when it will be held.
Just announced the President will be addressing this before noon.
In two and a half hours.
