The greatest flaw of the politician is the outsized ego and a disregard for the rules. Some risk-taking is necesssary to attain high office. When it borders on narcissism, it reveals not someone likeable and thoughtful but someone vain, conceited and arrogant. Most people would like to take Obama down a peg or or two. The one lesson in life the man still hasn't learned is humility. John Edwards has already found pride goeth before a fall. Obama thinks he will never lose.

At this point Obama is so full of himself it has darkened his pigment.

Democratic strategists loudly insist that the tawdry sex scandal consuming John Edwards will do no damage to the Obama campaign.
:::::::
Such a statement and belief fits into the false reality of the liberal politician. It certainly does not fit in to the real world that measures people by their actions and holds them accountable for their actions. The nacissistic world of the liberal pol precludes reality, and thus we get so many “utopian perverts” list Clinton, Edwards, and Obama. Their egos and self admiration will not fit through a normal doorway.

Obama is a synthetic creature. He is not real. How can he be? He is without substance, character, real vision, ethics and morals. One has only to listen to this college-campus-communist and know exactly from which political and ethical womb he came.

Wake up America and start MEASURING AND HOLDING YOUR CANDIDATES AND POLITICIANS ACCOUNTABLE. If you do, you will be amazed at what improvement will take place in a government that we once respected and took pride in.

Well this is interesting.

[ For two reasons, however, the meltdown of the sleazy operator long known on my radio show as “The Reptilian Con Edwards”. ]

I was not aware that offbeat assertions now made their way to supposed conservative talk radio. Granted no one should be surprized that Edwards is a con.

I think there is more to the Edward's story. He could have denied everything. There must have been seamy pictures, maybe a set up, maybe blackmail. As a lawyer he probably could talk his way out of Hell, but if there is hard evidence like video footage...

...and Obama has yet to define what he really has in mind (beyond higher taxes) with the "change" and "hope" he endlessly invokes.

Michael Medved is correct.

Regarding the "change" part...

I would love it if someone in the "news" media asked Mister Obama to compare and contrast collectivist Utopian socialism to our republican form of representative democracy.

Marxist Obama needs to be asked precisely, and in full detail, just what on earth he means when he says..."We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."?

And finally, Marxist Obama should also be asked how important he thinks is a strong and well-equipped United States military; as well as how important to him is the maintainance of security of classified information?

” to the smug arrogance of high intelligence, movie star looks, natural athleticism, Ivy League degrees, lucky breaks, and effortless success.”

Anyone here remember the classic movie (imho), The Way We Were? Redford’s character, Hubbell Gardner, had a famous line about himself - “everything came too easily”. At least HE had enough character for self-loathing.

Not so with either Edwards OR B. Hussein.

Maybe it's time to dig this old issue out and have another look.

Obama thinks he will never lose.

He certainly won't win on the basis of normal votes, but he has a track record of subverting the process and winning no matter what. He won his first election, a primary, by using a power-play tactic (challenging all the signatures on the nominating petitions of his opponents) at the last minute which left him essentially as the only candidate when people went to the polls. His opponents fought it in court, but of course by then it was too late for them.

In short, he really wants to win, and so do the folks surrounding him, and I don't think we should underestimate the lengths he will go to in order to achieve this.
