Obama's problem is SE Ohio; he will almost certainly underperform Kerry and Gore in the Applachian counties. He will do better than both in Cleveland, Dayton, and Columbus, and about the same in Toledo. The rest of the state will vote like 2004.

Net result? Like 2004 overall, perhaps a bit more favorable for McCain. If nothing else affects the race.

Ironically, Hillary would have beaten McCain here, I'm almost sure. The Lefties screwed themselves.

One big difference is Ted Strickland is Governor and *could* help Boma BUT he is still ticked the way Hillary was treated and is only luke warm (Not fired up and ready to do). Meanwhile Columbus Mayor Coleman, Bama’s supposed director, is so unpopular that there is no way McCain will do worse than W in 00 or 04

Would love to see Obama open a campaign office in Miami County where I grew up or in Greene County (Beavercreek)where we used to live. Anyone connected to Wright-Patterson AFB who supports this loser better think twice.

Don’t see rural voters supporting Obama because most are very pro-military and guns.

The total votes in SE Ohio will not make a whole lot of difference in the outcome. SE Ohio, Stuebenville to Portsmouth, is classic Appalachia, Despite the contempt
Obama earned with his “clinging to guns and Bible” comments the economy will drive quite a SE Ohio few voters to vote for the Demoncrat.
