Doesnt matter. The civilized world is with Georgia.russia played its hand to early and will be responsible for revitalizing our military industry(thanks!),not to mention the democratic world taking their investment out of russia. Your economy which will implode soon, count on it as no one wants to invest there anymore. Russia is Nigeria with nukes nothing more, actually nigeria is more civil than russia.

Let me see if I understand your post: Once having destroyed all Georgian armory; Russia intends to withdraw its presence to N/S Ossetia?

Yes, I meant this variant.

I’m sure you would never duck at the possibility of a bomb being dropped on your head

No if I'm a nation (or a military) leader standing before cameras. Probably it's lack of experience, but those who have it do such things in another way. At least not with such face as Saakashvili's.

And nothing nobody can do, dam*it

Probably. But let's wait, it's not a usual situation, it's too early to say "nothing" or "nobody".

That's an old song really. Last time Georgians sang it when the Russia's military bases' issue was on the table.

I'm sure he'll listen to any suggestions that you might have.Remember, however, that Georgia has about 3% of the USSR's population. What's happened to them is about equivalent to us invading Saskatoon.

I'm not going to praise a military victory. But "we're leaving the CIS" was too pathetic. Mishicko really has nothing to say if he said this.

Thank you for clearing that up. Do you have any idea if Russia intends to establish a military base in So. Ossetia?

Interesting coincidence. “Freelance Warrior.” Isn’t that the name given to those who get paid to fight for whichever side pays them the most?

I was thinking of getting 100 military personnel to be trained by either the Army or Marine Snipers for 3 months. Then have those trainees, then become the cadre for a school that trains 100 more snipers in 3 months.

From there, create 20 sniper schools across the country that train 100 snipers a quarter. First with military, then police, then volunteer civilians. In a year, you could field over 4,000 snipers. The next year, you could field 8,000.

Working in locally coordinated teams, such a force would have a devastating impact on Russian forces and morale esp if equipped with suppressors and short range radios for local coordination.

The Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) never joined the CIS.

This is the first time I’ve heard from the CIS in years. I was of the impression that it was a nonentity, only a successful organization long enough to get ex-Soviet athletes into the 1992 Olympics.

I don't think so. But have you heard that Cossacs, Ingushs and Chechens are volunteering in the Ossetian army? They'll form Russian military presense while they're not soldiers of Russian army formally.
