Looks like no ones getting paid this month.

Well let’s see... a top al-quaeda terrorist is killed, Michael Phelps and the rest of the US swimmers stuck it to France, oil prices are dropping, and the market even rallied. Not a bad start to the week.

When the information comes from Pakistan Intel regarding deaths of terrorist leaders, consider it very likey to be disinformation. This is what I learned from Bill Roggio.

Al-Masri, which means Egyptian
That would be al-Misri. Misr = Egypt
Whenever they put their nationality at the end of their name like that, it's a pseudonym. Likewise, "Abu Sa'id" isn't his real name. Abu means "father of," and is usually followed by the name of their oldest son, or sometimes someone they admire. It's called their kuniyya name, and terrorists often use it to hide their real name. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Abu Khabab al-Misri (another Egyptian), Abu Laith al-Libi (the Libyan), there was another Abu something-rather with the "last" name al-Jaza'iri (the Algerian). You get the picture....

Roggio is saying this is not yet confirmed:
Al Qaeda's commander in Afghanistan rumored killed in Pakistan
*******************EXCERPT******************
Unconfirmed reports from Pakistan indicate that Mustafa Abu Yazid, al Qaeda's commander in Afghanistan, has been killed during the heavy fighting in Pakistan's tribal agency of Bajaur.
The report of Yazid's death is based on statements made by an unnamed senior Pakistani security official. Pakistani television claimed Abu Saeed al Masri was killed in fighting in Bajaur. Yazid is also known as Sheikh Saeed and Abu Saeed al Masri (the Egyptian).
But it is unclear if this Abu Saeed al Masri is the same person as Yazid. Other al Qaeda operatives go by the name of Sheikh Saeed, a senior US military intelligence official warned The Long War Journal.

Now I have to wonder, rumors say ISI is tipping off AQ to our efforts to catch/kill them. If that is true, I wonder if this was just a “lucky strike “ on the part of the Paki’s?
