My understanding is that initial reports reported 20,000 to 50,000 attendees (for the free concert and free beer - before and after Obambi) and that somewhere along the way the 200,000 figure got picked up (from where) and every MSM reporter just ran with the higher number.

They went with the highest number because they want to convince us that Obama is loved the world over.

And they wanted to make comparisons to Kennedy’s “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech, and Reagan’s “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” speech. They want to impress on us that Obama is a great statesman, no matter that he hasn’t been elected president yet.

and every MSM reporter just ran with the higher number.

They used the same tactic in Portland,OR - free concert then inflate the numbers to the press.

I used Google Earth's "ruler" tool to measure the area of the crowd at Portland, it couldn't hold more than about 25,000 people but they kept parroting "70-80,000"

What sort of opening act will they have in Denver for Obama’s acceptance speech to fill up that stadium, and how many of those people will stick around for the headliner?
