This is a more credible issue than the controversy about the certificate of birth.
Not to anyone with even a passing familiarity with naturalization law, it isn't. Anybody born on US soil, other than the children of POWs, diplomats and hostile Indians, is automatically a citizen. That's true today and it was true in 1960 and ever since the passage of the 14th Amendment.
