Strange Behavior Leaves Many Unanswered Questions in Edwards Affair
Fox Nws ^ | 8/9/08 | staff

John Edwards lied when he denied his affair. Now he’s asking the nation to take his word that he’s revealed everything.

But the strange behavior of Edwards and those around him, coupled with the backlog of other tabloid allegations, raise many unanswered questions.

Three weeks ago, for instance, the National Enquirer confronted John Edwards at 2:40 a.m. leaving his mistress' hotel room in Beverly Hills, allegedly after visiting their so-called love child. Shortly afterward, FOXNews.com confirmed Edwards indeed had been escorted from a hotel bathroom by security guards who witnessed his sprint from reporters.

In the days that followed, Edwards dismissed all related questions, consistently saying he wouldn't respond to "tabloid lies."

Now, he has answered the biggest question surrounding the reports by admitting to an extra-marital affair with a filmmaker, Rielle Hunter, in 2006.

All it takes is a food container, diaper, napkin, etc and the DNA is there.

Uh huh.

You see the story on Drudge now? Reille’s sister is mad at him insinuating that she’s a “promiscuous person” and challenges him to a DNA test. Figured someone would say it sooner or later...he called his mistress is skanky slut.

Silky reminds me of the line, “It’s a shame that 98% of the lawyers give the rest of them a bad name.”

that’s part of what we’re seeing here. There’s no sense of shame on the part of Edwards or Clinton or anyone.

Edwards himself says he felt special and became self centered, etc. So it’s not hard to figure he felt above everyone and that he could have an affair and there would be no consequences. Even after Bill Clinton and all the others, it’s hard to believe that somebody would think there would be no consequences.

Edwards political career may have been over anyway, but it is totally done now. In ‘04 he ran for pres. partly because he didn’t think he could get re-elected as senator in NC. So as a failed two time pres. candidate who couldn’t get elected to any other office in his home state, he may have been yesterday’s news poltically anyway.

The real story here is that the MSM is so in the tank for the Liberals that it will cover up not investigate and flat out lie to cover up new stories about Democrats... It takes a Tabloid to break this story.... Folks we are living in a country whose media has become the liberal version of Communist Pravda.... Control the media, Control the minds of millions.... They are stealing our freedom right under our noses.

This loathsome individual deserves everything he has coming to him. And his disgusting “dying” wife too.

I don’t believe for a second that she’s dying.

“Why did he pay her a monthly amount?” What I want to know is if he paid her with campaign money?

Possibly or just unofficial child support.

this is the angle that needs to be played up, the reeking hypocrisy. Everybody has moral failures, but the hypocrisy of accepting “Father of the Year,” posing with the family and all—that’s monumental hypocrisy. Plus, the sainted Elizabeth is either lying about when she found out, or she’s a hypocrite too. No point of holding back saying some stuff “out of respect,” no doubt some people that are reviewing the situation now, feeling sorry for Elizabeth ,will be dead before she is by heart attack, accident, whatever. Our times are in God’s hand.

It is pretty wide open that ole Frederick Baron wasn’t paying the tab to the mistress. Mr. Baron got 1.18 million in direct payments between Edward’s PAC and the campaign. There is more money floating around too I am sure, but directing contributions to hush a mistress should be something looked into. Fraud.

I do. And that’s the saddest part. He’s going to have this hanging over his head as he stands beside her grave with all the cameras watching the tears rolling down his cheeks.

It took an enormous effort for the last two years, utilizing dozens of people, using hidden bank accounts and mortgage / utility payments, to keep this out of the public eye for so long. It is unbelievable that AFTER this affair with her, and AFTER she was already pregnant, Edwards had the stones to actually run for POTUS. I think he honestly believed he was going to never be found out. He calls himself narcissistic, but a true narcissist is so steeped in their own reality that they use the label on themselves to create sympathy and to think they can envoke a sense of personal responsibility for their actions.

I feel so badly for his children...ALL of them...even the one in the window....

If she found out in 2006 like Silky says, then she lied about it just as much as he did in the continuing campaign. I find it hard to sympathize with her because of that.

My guess is that the National Enquirer folks have been dumpster diving and have DNA proof that the child belongs to Edwards. .

Bingo! The same hotel employee(s) who made some nice side coin by tipping off the NE could also make some nice side coin by "preserving" the DNA in junior's little diaper.
