Aren’t there enough liberals, RINOS, gutless swine and traitors in the republican party without having to choose from among the dems for a running mate??? Five supposed “republican” Senators just betrayed the American people by forming the “Gang of Ten” and bending over once again to everything the dems want concerning drilling...the one issue which could have propelled republicans to victories in November! Surely one of these thugs—Lindsay Gramnesty for example—could fill all of the requirements for a McCain running mate.

I don’t think so. I was asked on a phone call during the last POTUS election what I thought of a one-party system. I think this is what Obama and the Soros gang want, or a ‘rewrite’ of the Constitution. Maybe we’ll even have one time zone to boot, like the COMMUNIST Chinese.

I'm afraid it may be even worse than that. Once a socialist wealth-redistribution program becomes law, WE'RE STUCK WITH IT FOREVER. Even after it's proven to be a failure, the gov't will throw more and more money after it in perpetuity.

It may take an armed revolt by conservatives to ever gain power back after the inevitable collapse, seeing as how we seem to be facing legions of socialists airheads pumped out by academia.

I'm more than willing to suffer through four years of Obama if it meant that the GOP would move back to the right instead of their slide to the left.

Unfortunately, the GOP leadership would take a loss in November as a sign they weren't moderate enough (read: didn't move enough to the left). 2006 Didn't seem to wake them up, we'll see if 2008 will wake them up and realize they have lost Conservatives.
