Another FAA spokesman, Mike Fergus, told KIRO Radio that the plane had departed from San Juan Island on a flight to Auburn and went down about 8:30.

Not at least on the same day that Russian T-72s are streaming into Georgia while Putin is declaring war, anyway.
I did this because I was listening on radio that it had involved officials.. but haven’t heard more.
so, I believed it was Breaking political news.
Will keep listening...
sorry if I was wrong in advance.
It does if the passengers were Brett Favre, Beyonce, and Paris Hilton.
Agree 100%. That's why I added the "breakingabuse" keyword rather than bother with a reply until now.
Ha, good one! But I don’t think they’re in Washington right now. :O)
2 counsel members died but I guess they don’t apply since they aren’t Putin or a president, leader of a country.
sorry
Well there were two Cessna 172’s that went down in recent weeks - the one in Skagit and the other in Seaside near Astoria, OR.
It’s interesting regarding the one in Skagit. The plane left the San Juan’s (Roche Harbor) heading to Auburn which is south and east of the departure. The plane was found almost due east which was way off course if the intended flight was to Auburn. They may have gone on a scenic but ... the pilot flew for United and was a former pilot for PanAm ...
The Seaside crash may have been due to stalling (jury still out on that) - plane took off then turned left which would be turning to a stall position if they were too slow. The plane would normally stall to the left.

Thank you Niteranger,
I am listening to a Utah station which has it as Breaking News. It is interesting that Utah has breaking news on Washington counsel men’s death.
Prayers for their families.
