A MAN with self-described mental health problems was ordered held without bail in Florida on charges that he had threatened to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama or President George W. Bush.
Raymond Hunter Geisel was arrested by the Secret Service in Miami on Saturday after making threats before other participants against both Mr Bush and Senator Obama at a bail bondsman's training course, according to federal court papers.
A Secret Service affidavit said Mr Geisel denied making the threats. But he told a Secret Service agent, in comments he later described a a joke, that if he wanted to kill Senator Obama he would simply shoot him with a sniper rifle.
An unidentified female witness told investigators that Mr Geisel had said during the training course between July 25-28, "That nigger, if he gets elected, I'll assassinate him myself."
Senator Obama would be the first black US president if elected.
Another witness was said to have overheard Mr Geisel say at a hotel that he hated Mr Bush and wanted to put a bullet in his head.
Police found an ample cache of ammunition, including armor piercing bullets, and a handgun in Mr Geisel's sport utility vehicle and the Miami hotel room where he was staying while attending the bail bondsman's course. It is legal to possess armor-piercing bullets in Florida.
Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said the agency would not comment on the number of threats to government officials or political candidates detected at any given time, but that this "might be the first arrest" in connection with the current presidential campaign.

Well the first 265 headlines only mentioned the death threats to Obama. As if a death threat to a first term Senator is important, but a death threat to the president is not.
Bush did not even make the headlines in the earlier stories, just Obama.
I was in the car most of the day today traveling and the radio news only mentioned the threats to the Chosen One. Prez didn’t get a mention.

Interesting point. It is very well documented that Kerry was at least in attendance when that was being discussed. He resigned his leadership status from the group several months later, but they were plotting assassinations. It is amazing the candidates Democrats pick.
The presstitutes lost interest after reporting that part (and some may secretly agree with the comments about Bush).

Actually, that nutjob only threatened President Bush. He said that he’d off Obama *if Obama was elected President*, which means that Obama doesn’t have a thing to worry about.
