The “bimbo eruptions” of 1992 were calculated to divert attention from then candidate Clinton's more substantive failings. By sidetracking the discussion into a discussion of infidelity, he avoided scrutiny on other matters — such as his inexperience, corruption and anti-American proclivities.

***That’s not the impression I got at the time. The media was doing their best to play them down, even when there was a recording of Clinton telling Gennifer Flowers to “lie, just lie”, even under oath (sound familiar?). The MSM carries water for whichever democrat has the best chance and we all know it. Look how they’re even carrying water for Edwards right now on his love-child story, probably because he has a chance at being VP — but mostly just because he’s a dem.
