What is exactly Zimmer's problem? He is making the classic Republican mistake. I don't really care if he wins this race but if he wants to he'd better do better than this. This is pathetic. The energy issue is the biggest issue this election year and if he wants to have any chance of taking out Latenberg he needs to go nuclear literally and figuratively and really fight this out for the next few months leading up to election day. Incumbents only fall when you move their negatives up. You don't win a seat from an incumbent by being an also ran. This won't be the first time a GOP candidate in New Jersey failed to capitalize on Democrat weaknesses. New Jersey has some of the worst tax policy in the country that would be a place to start. Zimmer should get on the band wagon and at least try to win. He just might in this environment.

Typical NIMBY attitude.

Republican opponent, former U.S. Rep. Dick Zimmer, takes a Jersey-centric view of offshore drilling. Zimmer says he is open to environmentally safe drilling off the coasts. But, he says, "I would oppose drilling off the Jersey Shore or anywhere else that would pose a danger to the Jersey Shore."
IOW, drill.

New Jersey is a lost cause. The Democrats don't have an energy policy, so they go back to attack Big Oil. This country is full of brain dead idiots who just swallow whatever rotgut is fed them.

Zimmerman would lose anyway. The people of NJ probably rank at the top of the list when it comes to the “dumbest state in the union”. Michigan (go Apps) would rank right behind them. They pay high taxes, and they keep going up. Zimmerman suffer from being dumb also. He should stay at the house and not pollute the air by driving his car around the state. He’s a loser.
