While Hollywood's celebs continue to coalesce around their preferred presidential candidate and hash out the best approach to campaigning, Jon Voight grabbed the spotlight last week with an op-ed piece for the Washington Times that praised John McCain as an "American legend" but cast a dire warning about Barack Obama.
"The Democratic party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way," he wrote.

Jon
Jon Voigt and Gary Sinise; YOU GO GUYS!!!
Thanks for pointing that out. :-) I should be in bed.
You’re right, I need to use the washroom ;)
So what are the politics of Angelina Jolie considering dad is for McCain?
Well, she's big on the UN, which is bad. But she likes owning guns for self defense, which is good. But she's a Hollywood type, which is bad. But she wants to play Dagny Taggart in a film adaption of Atlas Shrugged, which is good. Also, did I mention she's hot?
She’s also into having kids — which is not something generally associated with liberals.
I read in one interview she claimed to be an independent and has not decided whom she would vote for between BO and McCain. She even said something like, “I know that because I’m a Hollywood artist, people assume that I’m a democrat. I’m not!”
Very true, although her notion of “having kids” seems consist of collecting one from every continent - I think she’s only got Antarctica left.
She’s said in the past that she’s a Libertarian. And she’s been to Iraq and supports the troops, so she’s not all that bad.
Don’t she and Mr. Jolie have 3 kids together biologically?
Yep. I guess those are their North American ones ;)
She is not a Republican unless that has changed recently. I figure her for more an apolitical liberal given her role at the UN. Brad Pitt supported John Kerry in 2004.

Studiees show that when a woman gets married she starts voting more conservative...when she starts having kids she gets even more into the conservative way of thinking. Perhaps...
I read somewhere she’s obsessed with Ayn Rand.
Have you noticed that neither has gotten any juicy acting parts in movies over the past 8 years... Sinise is relegated to TV fair, and Voight to children’s movies or bit parts.
These two are oscar nominated actors and they’re wasting away in obscurity. You’d be hard put to find a better performance than Jon Voight’s in Runaway Train, or Sinis in Forest Gump.
Sinise is hardly in the dumpster. That is a very solid acting gig, and more and more “big screen” guys are taking TV jobs because it’s regular, you don’t have to travel as much, and you can be with your family. Moreover, you don’t have to “get into” a different part every five or six months. Sinise is just fine.
