An attorney who volunteered to help Barack Obama improve his relationship with Muslim and Arab-Americans has resigned from the campaign amid questions about his connection to a fundamentalist imam.

The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Report reported this week that Asbahi briefly served on the board of Allied Assets Advisors Fund, a registered trust, with Jamal Said, an imam at a mosque in Illinois.
Critics assert that Said is a member of Hamas, the political party and militias that control Gaza, and which are listed as a terrorist group by both the United States and the European Union.
The Muslim Brotherhood and a number of national Muslim groups also were named as unindicted co-conspirators in a recent federal prosecution in Texas, which ended in a mistrial.

Mazen Asbahi is a senior associate at the law firm of Schiff Hardin LLP in its corporate & securities and intellectual property groups. Mr. Asbahi serves as general counsel to a number of nonprofit entities and is active with a variety of civic, educational and charitable groups. Mr. Asbahi serves as a member of the board of directors of the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), as director of publications for the Nawawi Foundation and as a member of the Auxiliary Board of the Chicago Legal Clinic. He is a 2007 Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago and has previously served as president of the Muslim Bar Association of Chicago. He also serves on the Charities Advisory Committee of Muslim Advocates, the charitable sister organization to the National Association of Muslim Lawyers (NAML).
Mr. Asbahi received his undergraduate degree in political science and Islamic studies, with highest honors, from the University of Michigan in 1996. He attended the Northwestern University School of Law, where he received his law degree, cum laude, in 2000.

Yet, he has a chance to win; nearly half the population will vote for him because he has a (D) next to his name.
Let's not forget Obama's favorite Rapper Ludicrous? Obama had to walk away from his favorite Gangsta rapper.
I dunno, if John has a Muslim Outreach director, but why would he want too?

Seriously, Barack has never made a statement he couldn't say he didn't make.
I kept waiting for him to say, “This is not the Michelle Obama I have known.” Guess his handlers headed that one off at the pass.
