"Apparently he regretted what he did and we can hope he asked Jesus for forgiveness before he died."

Nice sentiment, but in the real world, he was a monster that caused unspeakable horrors to a couple of young girls. I often times hope there IS a righteous after-life just so these monsters can BURN forever! And I hope that Jesus said, "too late; too little...join Satan in a pool of burning oil forever!!!". Screw him.

I am well aware of these monsters. I live in Houston where it happened and followed the horrible crime nightly on the evening news.

I was glad that he showed remorse at the end and I am glad that he is dead. My husband and I both cheered when they announced it on the news about 15 minutes after he was given the injection. Then a local news caster gave her on the scene report.

I don't know how much comfort his apology gave to the girl's families, maybe a little.

We lost an 18 year old son to an illegal Mexican driver. Not only was the illegal not hurt the only thing we ever heard from him was his request (thru a Mex. lawyer) that we should buy him a new car because the wreck totaled his. He did not mention the fact that he is the one who hit our son, not the other way around and there was no remorse, no apology.

Like I said I don't know if the apology helped any with their grief because we never got that.
